Silhouettes?

I was wondering if there is a place in Disneyland where you can have silhouettes done. If so, where? how much? do you have to make an "appointment", how long-ish does it take? anything else i need to know?

There is a shop on Main Street that does them. They do them pretty quickly. I don't remember exactly how long, but they're fast. I forget how much they are. I'm sure someone here will have the price. You don't need an appointment to have them done.

On Main Street, as your walking towards the castle it's on the right side of MS. Takes them about 5-10 min and you do not need an appt. You will get 2 silhouettes and they are about $10....I think, it's been a while, we are getting the girls done again before the end of the year.

They are $9 per person, and you can have up to 4 people on one sheet. We did this with the 4 kids in Sept and it is super cute.

I've been looking forward to the silouhettes this year. I'm going to have them done for all the grandparents as part of their Christmas gift. Two for $10 seems exceptionally reasonable for Disney.

We gave our duplicate from Sept. to my in laws already. We are going to do them again in December for the other 2 sets of grandparents for their xmas gifts. I'm not sure how much the frames are. We still had them from last time.

Yes $27, and you get two silhouettes. They are mirror images of each other.

If I remember I'll post a photo of the one of my girls. It looks just like them!!!! $9 seems more then what we paid but I really can't remember....I do remember it was under $20 and yes, you get 2 silhouettes, I gave the other one to my Mom and she loves it.

It was $9 Halloween weekend. My in laws got them done!

I can't remember how much it was but it was super crazy fast. I think she got my youngest done in under a minute. It took them longer to get them glued than to cut out the sillouettes. It's a GREAT souvineer.

I got mine done a few months ago & did it right after watching the fireworks on MS.
It's a good time to have it done since the crowds will be clearing out on the street.

I did find out on my last trip that there are a couple of different employees that work in this shop and each of them have a unique style. I had my two boys done at two different times ($21 framed in a lovely antique looking round frame) and they are quite different from each other. It was very fun talking with the gals as they worked and their stories are very interesting. One gal had been doing them at DL for 25 years. That is a lot of silouettes. It does take them less than one minute per person they are cutting out.

Another tip: I did my youngest when he was sleeping in the stroller which really made it easy on me. (he did not have the shape of hair detail that my oldest had though)

My friend got hers done maybe an hour before fireworks in June. She had an intricate hairpiece in her hair and the artist took the time to reflect that in the silhouette. I didn't time it but it happened to be significantly more than a minute! (I'd estimate 3-5 minutes, to be honest.) My friend was very satisfied, though! I don't know if we got someone who was detail-oriented, or if she was new, or if she took her sweet time because the shop was DEAD and she had nothing better to do/wanted to attract more customers. Maybe a combination of two or more of the above.

(People just walked by the silhouette shop when there were no customers, but when they saw someone getting her silhouette done--and me standing outside--they seemed to take more interest.)

We have a set 5 kids and one grandkid by one particular artist they are wonderful.
And I have 2 others by a different artist.

You can get a discount on the frames with your AP too. You have to buy a 2 frame minimum to get the discount. no discount on original art.
They can even do them from pictures. I had a profile photo of one of my DDs and she did it spot on!

Just to pass along some info... they will do a special wedding silhouette, as well! It'll be done with the bride with a veil and something with a little heart cut out (maybe it was out of the shirt on the bride)... then the groom has a tux on. It's so cute! Hard to explain, but it's an option!

Wow, we got ours done at WDW and it took a lot longer than a minute! It may be time for a refresher!

We got ours done in January and it cost us $9 for both of us in the silouette and 10 for our frame and we got an AP discount. Hope this helps.
