Signing up for Chase Disney Visa ?

I got a letter to sign up for a Chase Disney Visa and get a $200 Disney Gift Card. We were hoping to go to Disney in October but had to wait to officially plan the trip until some of DHs work stuff got sorted so I did not apply. Now that we will be going (YEAH!!!) I was thinking of signing up so we could have the benefit of the $200 Gift Card. I just found the letter and it expired on 8/15. Do you think they will still honor it? I am able to go to the website to apply and it asks for the invitation number and then goes to the sign up information sheet. I do not want the card if I can't get the $200 gift card so I would hate to sign up and then find out it doesn't work.

Also, even if I do sign up, is there enough time to get the card, use it and get credit for the $200 gift card? How long does it take to get the card and get the first statement? We leave on 10/15.

I signed up the first week of August. The card arrived in just a few days. Maybe 4 to 7 days. When I called to activate the card, they said your bill will be due on the 22nd, is that OK. I said sure. I made a purchase and paid it off. Well the first bill is actually due SEPT 22. If I then have to wait the 8 weeks it says for the 200 credit to show, it will be real close for my mid-November trip.

Hopefully it will post to my account sooner. When you activate the card, pick the billing cycle that is the earliest they will let you.

Update - Rewards hit account so I ordered a card today. Total time from credit card application to rewards in account was about 26 days.
