Signed up for 2012 Goofy but can't compete. Options?

Ok I know someone who signed up for Goofy but is not going to be able to make it to Orlando. Does he have any options?

I have always run when signed up so was not sure if anything can be done this late.

At this point it's really too late to do anything. If they know someone going they could pick up the shirts and bibs with the proper documentation.

My wife is registered for the half marathon but can't run due to foot troubles.

We've got the same problem. One expensive registration for someone who can't use it.

Up to a month ago, you could have deferred your entry until next year. You only options are to have some one on the board pick up your swag...

I saw a post on Run Disney's facebook page for someone looking to buy someone's registration. He had friends running at WDW, but could not get in because it had sold out. It sounds like he just wants to run for the experience and doesn't care about a PR.

I don't know if that's allowed, but I suppose you could sign one of the packet pickup authorizations and he could pick up the bib in your place.
