Okay--got the papers signed and ready to send for SSR! Now how long before I hear from Disney with my official membership?

Closings usually take place on Wednesdays, and there is a 15 day waiting period. You can count 15 days from your signing date, and you will likely close the Wednesday after that (just an educated guess). You will receive a permanent member card shortly after that.

That being said, as soon as DVC has your deposit you should be able to call MS and make a reservation!

Estimated closing date for SSR is April 1,2004. That's what it says on the Purchasers Agreement.You can begin making reservations with SSR points in December.

Ah yes... SSR is a little different since it is pre-sales.

Thanks, everyone! I have a trip planned for June. Not sure about the second one yet, but I don't think it will take long for me to figure it out!

BTW-do they take a money order for down payment (out of a savings account) or do you need to write a personal check out of checking?

I can go deposit my savings in my checking, but it is just more simple with the money order. Anyone use money orders for payment?

I would bet that they will take almost any form of payment. I have used a credit card in the past.

Since SSR's closing isn't until April, does anyone know if/when we hear from DVC before then regarding official membership? It's only been a few days since I sent the papers in, but I am lacking patience right now!

Anyone else in similar situation? Any news?
