Signature Restaurants

Guys,

Next year we're planning on eating at 3 signature restaurants:

• Le Cellier (Dinner)
• Yachtsman Steakhouse
• Narcoossee's

Do these places have a dress code?
If so; what is the dress code in practise?
We don't tend to bring dress up clothes, so what is the minimum that is passable?

We love Narcoossees and Yachtsman Steakhouse!

DH usually wears a pair of dark jeans and a button down oxford shirt, or if it's warm a golf shirt. I usually wear jeans or capri pants with a cardigan or tunic. We usually won't wear sneakers but have seen diners wearing them on rare occasions. Hope this helps.

Excellent. Nobody in the family wears anything with profanity on it; but we do wear trainers & flip flops. Shorts & t-shirts. My Sister usually wears vest tops; same as my Mother. We're willing to pack clothes for the occasion but would rather not have to change from park attire to eat. Tell me I could tour the park in shorts/t-shirt & flip flops then be fine eating in any of those places?

You would be fine with Le Cellier - anything park-appropriate will work there since it's in a park. However, I think the flip-flops might be a problem at Yachtman's or Narcoossee's. People on the boards have reported seeing people turned away for those, as well as for tank top shirts.

We personally wear khaki pants and polo shirts, with solid one-color sneakers (his are black, mine brown), and we have never had a problem.

I have seen people in Jiko in shorts, so that at least should be ok.

I would say if you have khaki shorts (or some kind of non-jean, non-athletic shorts), a plain t-shirt, and opt for the trainers instead of the flip-flops that day, that would work just fine and still be comfortable for park touring.

I've definitely done flip flops with a khaki skirt at Narcoossees and not been turned away, but we usually wear regular shoes when we go. For us it's our nice dinner out for an occasion so we dress up a bit for signature dinners. But, I also hate shoes and even now in 50 degree temps, I'm still wearing flip flops.

It's not something that is really our attire naturally. We're not adverse to an outfit for these places; just maybe build in a little extra time to get back to the room & change. We're not usually the family that goes back to the room more than once a day.

Sorta have dress code is no cut off jeans no frayed jeans no flip flops or t shirts with bad language written on them. they prefer a collared shirt like a Polo type for men but all have pretty much went to park attire. These three for sure have or were in September last of the month as we were at all three

I have worn flip flops to every signature. Multiple times. It's never been an issue. When they say no flip flops, it's the association with bathing suits that is an issue. Shorts or capris with flip flops are perfectly fine.

True! As an AP holder, I go to WDW several times a year and since we do the DxDDP at least once or twice a year, we tend to go to alot of Signatures. I have worn flip flops in every one of them and have seen other people wearing them every trip. Now granted they are the nicer ones, not the cheapo rubber pool flip flops. I have several of the nicer ones decorated with swarvoski crystals that I wear with long flowy ankle length sundresses. We tend to go back to the resort, shower, and get cleaned up before dinner though. My husband wears kacki pants, dress shorts (no cargos or sport type), and clean one color sneakers with a button up collared shirt. I did wear a pair of capris, a solid color t, and my nicer flip flops to Narcoosee's once though and felt distinctly underdressed that night. For some reason everyone else was dressed up that particular night. I've dined there several times since though and blended right in (some dressed nicer, but some more casual).

The only times I've ever seen anyone turned away was once at Jiko and once at Yachtsman. At Jiko the young couple checking in right ahead of me had obviously just came from the pool. They both had wet hair, he was wearing a pair of flowered board shorts, she was wearing rubber flip flops, and a see through lacy knee length coverup with a flowered bikini showing under it. She was trying to convince the CM at the podium that the lace coverup was a sundress. lol At the Yachtsman the lady was wearing a very nice shiny blouse, distress jeans with holes in them, and high heels. She was not allowed in, due to the holey jeans. She got really irate, demanded to speak to manager, and then argued "Do you know how much these jeans cost?'. Didn't matter, she wasn't seated.

Note that footwear isn't even mentioned. Note too that it is a SUGGESTED code, and unless you're wearing what is expressly prohibited, most anything else will get you in.

As Pakey says, most (I'd say 75%) folks are somewhere in the suggested zone. But theme park style attire won't even get you a second glance.
