I am torn between two restaurants. We (my brother, sister and myself) are having an adult evening when we go to Disney.

The two restaurants we are looking at are California Grill and Narcoossee's. My brother , who is from CA, is leaning towards California Grill simply for the Sushi and Fireworks. I like the menu for Narcoossee's better and have read many times where it is more adult and upscale than California Grill.

My sister has no preference yet as she has not seen the Narcoossee's menu. I think when she sees it, she might prefer their surf and turf.

I would love to have your feedback.

Thanks. :flower3:

While Narcoossees has a nice menu, it's noisy and not the " adult" venue that I would be looking for.
CG has some great food, but for a wonderful dining experience I would suggest Citrico's......we have never been disappointed there! Just a thought!:tinker:

Thank you for the feedback. We were looking at Citricos as well, but I am not wild about the menu and my sister did not like it at all. I am a little adventurous with food, she is not big on trying new things.

We are from CA and have eaten at both CG and Narcoosees on several occasions. We much much prefer CG. The menu is much more eclectic, the dining experience is more sophisticated, the view is spectacular and the food is better.

did you check out bluezoo (not sure if you are on DDP or not), or Flying Fish? These tend to be more 'adult'. Then of course there is always Victoria and Alberts, or Bistro de Paris

I think CG is much more adult and upscale than Narcoosees - and the food is a ton better. In fact, Narcoosees would be my first choice to bring younger children for signature dining - the restaurant is loud (so is CG, but Narcoosees is louder), the food is served faster.

Okay. CA is known for there Sushi. If you like Sushi they have the best I'm told. CA has a great view of DW to me more of an Adult Atmosphere if that's what you are looking for. Great view for the fireworks.

Narcoossee's love the surf & turf . I am not a fancy eater. But it really depends what you are looking for. If I had to pick one I guess it would be CA!
CA is definately more upscale than Narcoossee's . That's my opion.
But either one you can't go wrong.
Have a nice dinner :)

Of the two you mentioned, I'd recommend the California Grill.

By the way, the term "signature" is quickly becoming meaningless these days. I saw a fast food chain's TV commercial just yesterday where they called one of their sandwichs a "signature sandwich". (Looked a lot like a hamburger to me.)

Wow!:cheer2:

Hope y'all have a signature time at WDW.:rotfl2:

Ihad the sushi at CG in May. It was good, not great. Tokyo Dining sushi was MUCH MUCH better. SO if that is her main draw to go there, then I would pick the other

sounds like a fun night!:cool1:

While I love both and try to do both if possible if I could only pick one it would be CG by a long shot!

Wow - I am surprised. I think CG grill is by far more noisy. CG felt overly stuffy to me and way too loud. We go to Narcoosees every trip - and I have never thought that it was loud. I also rarely see young children at Narcoosees - and when I do - they are very quiet and well behaved.

Narcoosees is a nice dark cozy atmosphere, and the food is excellent. You can also see the fireworks and the Electric Water Pageant from Narcoosees.

I found only one thing I would order from CG menu - and found several items at Narcoosees.

I guess its personal preference, but I prefer Narcoosees! I love the Grand Floridian so much more that the Contemporary too.

I really wasn't impressed with Narcoossee's this year. I thought it was fine, but perhaps not up to the level I would expect for a "signature" restaurant. I tend to overlook dining at WDW - my expectations aren't that high, so it was okay. But I did make the comment that if I had paid the same price for a dinner at home vs. in WDW, I really would have been disappointed. YMMV, of course.
