I know this is Disney, etc, but is it really ok to bring your kids to all the restaurants. Mine are well behaved (as well behaved as 6 and 4 year olds can be) (I wouldn't consider bringing them if they weren't), but won't if it's really not okay. Thoughts?

Well behaved kids are always welcome.

It's really okay to bring the kids. What's not okay is bringing them and then letting them run wild (I'm not saying you will do this, but it appears that many parents do). Your children are not expected to be perfect, but you should plan for what to do if they aren't (e.g., bring activities to distract them, keep them from running around the restaurant or playing underneath the tables, be prepared to remove them from the restaurant if they get unruly, etc.).

of course it's ok, but do be aware some of the nice dinners at signiture places can take up to 2 hours to complete and some kids get real antsy by then!

We do the DXDP when we go so we see lots of signature restaurants...and there are also lots of kids. As the previous poster said bring them some quiet entertainment and you should be fine. New dollar store toys or a new game work wonders. Just remember that the sig. places take longer and you might wanna make your reservations on the early side before the 7 o'clock crowd gets there. My poor daughter last year fell asleep at Narcoossee's before her dinner ever came...right at the table.:goodvibes

Last fall we ate at 2 signature restaurants and our kids were 5 & 2 at the time. We didn't have any problems and the kids menus were much better at the signatures than at the other property restaurants.

Artist Point was close to 3 hours! Thankfully I had some small toys in my purse to keep the 2 year old occupied at the end.

We have been to Jiko twice, Cali Grill, BlueZoo, Il Mulino, Citrico's, Flying Fish 3 times and Yachtsman 3 times...each time there were kids there and while we do not have kids it was not a problem that kids were there except for one time at FF when there were a bunch of kids age 7 and under at the table behind us and they were acting like idiots and ruining the entire meal for us....

I have no prob with people bringing their kids to signature meals but I do have a problem if those kids scream, cry, run around the restaurant or disturb our meal and I have a bigger problem with parents that do nothing to correct the problem....if they just sit there and let the kids carry on I will get up and say something to you.....or I may have the waiter give you my check! :rotfl:

Seriously, cant you just take your kids out of the restaurant? Why do we have to suffer? I would rather you have a disruptive meal than us.

I would say that it will help the meal experience if you ask to have your kids' meals paced the way yours are (they get the appetizer first when you get yours, entrees at the same time, then dessert). Last time I was at Jiko, the table next to us had two little girls (about your kids' age) who were very good at first, but their whole meal came out at the same time so they were pretty much done eating by the time the parents had gotten their entrees, and by the time the parents finished their entrees they were getting pretty bored (except when the server came by, the server was great with them).

It is really okay and I've seen many well-behaved kids in Signature restaurants.

The only restaurant that has an age limit at WDW is Victoria & Alberts. That restaurant is limited to age 10 and up.

DS is 7 and we always take him to Narcoossee's. He's been going to Disney since he was three. We always go to a signature restaurant once per trip. We've never had a problem.

Absolutely, bring the kids. The only time I get annoyed with kids in any of the restaurants is when they are allowed to run around and literally climb on everything and everyone! As long as they are at their own tables I love seeing them and hearing them! They need to experience new things just like us grown ups!

Disney Word is a fantastic place to intorduce youngsters to nicer dining:thumbsup2 No one will bat an eye at a weel behaved child anywhere other than V&A on property, even the nicer places have kids' menus and there is always something interesting to see nearby if you need to take a child out for a bit. Mine are older now (11 and 13) but there first long, multi coruse meals were at WDW and on the Disney cruise. It was great and I really do not remember any problems. Now, DS11's favourite restaurant anywhere is Artist's Palette:)

Absolutely! I took my daughters (6 and 5) to a signature restaurant on our last visit..there were plenty of children there and we had a wonderful time!

I can't stand this either...that's why I'm asking. I immediately remove my kids if there's an issue and get annoyed when others don't. I would rather have an 'adults only' policy if there are going to be out of control kids.
