OHHHH ok, ya i guess I was missing it. I thought I could use a code and call. I called with two different codes a couple of days ago that I found off another site, one for package and one for room only. Neither code worked. Im trying to learn how to find codes and what to say when I find them. Thanks for taking the time to repost the list of people going again. I kept thinking I was missing something.

You can't see the list of people? OR are you trying to find the actual CODE? The code cannot be listed here at the DIS because it is not a public code, but rather a pin code (meaning that people get specific pinnumbers associated with the code). The code can be found by following a link that is in another thread (sorry for the wild goose chase, but I'm on my way out the door or I'd find and post the link for you!). Easiest way to check is to call CRO and simply ask, "Do I have any discount codes associated with my name?" HTH and good luck!

I posted here that I got the code through a travel agent for 8/26 - 9/1. I was actually able to add a day to my ressie just this week and I am now going 8/25 - 9/1. I really didn't want to mess with the magic code, but I got a cheap flight arriving 8/24 in the evening, so I booked one night with the AAA rate and got the package to start 8/25.

The package is with dining and, trust me, I do not need 8 nights of dining. I will already burst with 7 nights! My 180 ADR date is tomorrow, but I will probably call Monday from work, since I can't seem to finalize my ADR's! Everytime I think I have it, I change my mind! Go figure - trip gets longer and I get more confused!

I'm still hoping for free dining, since that would save me more $, but I am happy to have the code - it's like half price dining!

You will not find the code listed, it is against policy to list codes here. I myself used a TA for my trips.. others booked themselves.

All these code getters make me jealous! I tried to get the fourty percent off and the CM on the phone said I had nothing attached to my name, which I gracefully accepted.

I was lucky enough to get a corporate discount via work that seems to be different for each resort, but its about 40 percent for value and maybe 35 for moderate, the unfortunate thing is its room only so I can not get the DDP, which I really wanted. Ah well, congratulatoins to everyone who did get it!

I think generic codes can be listed but not ones that are pins or require a pin. For instance, the ticket upgrade code was listed, but the PINs for the 40 percent off deal on rooms were not. I could be wrong, but that was my interpretation.

POFQ May 7 thru May 13, standard room, water view, with dining pkg

we were yearly visitiors, and had not been since Oct 2003, so when i called i mentioned to the CM that i had a code (using the 40% off package code) but did not have a pin. (saw the code on a disney blog) i asked her to see if we were eligible for the discount. CM said 'yep' and that we didnt need a pin, just the three digit code was enough.

Just wondering was it 20% off the room rate or was it a deal that worked out to approximately 20% off your package price. The 40% code sometimes works out to being equivalent to 20% off the package....if you give me specifics as to how many people, ages and type of tickets I can figure it out for you ... oh and if you have a standard room or not, and if insurance is included as well as your final price.

It was for 2 adults and 2 children (9 and 6) for 6 nights and MYW base tickets + DDP. CM told me that the discount is for standard room (instead of $154 it was about $134/night at CSR). My final total without insurance was $2324.74.

I originally booked online and a month ago I called and asked if I could use a code and was told I couldn't as I didn't have a PIN. I waited a week and called again and was given the 40% off for our trip from 08/25-09/01. Also I added DD plan and the total after the discount was only $32 more than the original cost without DD! In essence I feel like I did get free dining!

I forgot to add that when I rec'd my confirmation letter in the mail, it had the "code" that I tried to use the first time around written on it!

6 nights 165 per night = 990 + tax = 1113.75

7 day base tickets (you didnt say how many days but at this point you are talking a difference of about +/- $2 per person per day different)

total 766 + tax= 815ish

Dining plan runs about 100 per day so total 600

total about 2529.54

20 % off room = 222.75

So yes it does look like you got the 20% off your room as you stated. The reason I asked is because, while you may well have fell through a similar loophole, Op was trying to track those who may or may not have gotten in through the loophole for the 40%. So just wanted to be sure which one you got.
