As I've mentioned in a previous thread, I've found out I'm pregnant and due in March 2016!

Upon finding out, my SO and I decided to cancel our honeymoon trip which was going to be during Epcot Food and Wine. Okay, kind of a bummer, but not a huge deal. (still getting married, which was always going to be a courthouse affair anyway, ha)

And then after more debating and weighing pros and cons, we decided to cancel our June 2016 trip as well, since the baby will still be small and I'll already be taking so much time off work. I know DD are 5 will be disappointed, which sucks.

So we've decided on October 2017! Which seems like FOREVER from now, and I'm so bummed that it's going to be that long until we return. On the one hand, it's more time to save up plenty of money, and it'll be during Food and Wine, plus MNSSHP. But...gosh, it's just so far away and we miss the mouse, lol.

How do you deal with the long wait or having to postpone your trip? It's still too far away to even get any fun out of planning so I'm trying to just put it out of my mind.

First, Congratulations!!!

Second, I just wanted to share my experience. DH and I had many discussions (led by me) about the appropriate age to take our DS to Disney. Two? Three? Four? We made it a whole seven months! And then took him back for his first birthday (we live only a couple hours away).

While you could get through Disney at three months, just think how much more fun you will have in Oct. 2017 when you are taking a 1 1/2 year old. He/she will be walking, talking a little, recognizing the characters. We are planning another trip this October when our DS will be about the age of your child on his/her first trip, and we cannot wait b/c it is such an exciting age.

You sound like Disney will never be out of the picture for you, so just remember you will be going back. And your next trip will be at a developmentally awesome time to take your second child for his/her first trip!
