And you and I are are both well aware of the fact 'some' of those people were allowed back. Had the ones who wanted to be part of the DIS, who were 'caught up in this mess, by mistake' asked to come back, they'd probably be back too.

So the DIS should have dealt with them!

And would you want to go back to a place that banned you for asking a simple question, for posting the next line to a song etc and then never once responded to your numerous emails as to what you did wrong?????

I dont know the specifics, however it doesnt take a brain surgeon to figure out quite a bit of the 'innocence' was not as innocent as they'd like you to think.

AND - if they dont want back - why do we have so many 'newbie' CB members, who know peoples history, etc etc. Come on.

I find it a shame anyone can think that *THAT* is acceptable.

Or the acceptability of stalking someone who is "different," and calling that person a freak or pedophile, which is probably the most damaging slander anyone could conceive! I find any of that kind of behavior appalling, both in real life and online.

The problem, though is that some of that information was posted by you. Several people, myself included, mentioned that you might not want to post such personal stuff on a public message board accessible by both good and bad people. You have to be really careful with what you put out there, because once it is out there, you have no control over what is done with it.

I have never posted where I work. I have posted that I work in a grocery store, but there are thousands of grocery stores in America, that is hardly posting too much information, and I've never posted where I went to college, or what I majored in, which I always get asked, and then get flamed for when I don't say. I've also never posted my real name, but some people did a search on my user name and checked every profile of mine to see if they could find out what it is. I did post when I was going to Disney, but I have since changed my dates because of threats to stalk me, and you can bet I haven't posted my new dates and schedule.

I care when they make a point of trying to find out where I went to school, where I work, what my real name is, where I'll be when I'm on vacation, etc.

And some of those same people actually posted that they were going to the restaurants where you posted you had ADRs, look for somebody your age dining alone to photograph you, and then post your photos on that site, presumably so people could rag on your looks.

Maybe it was a joke, I don't understand how anybody could defend behavior or "humor" like that.

Well I do KNOW specifics bc these people were friends of mine. None of mine want to come back so I dont know who the newbies are bc they were treated poorly through all of this.

I know there were nasty things said over there, I too was hammered there, but the DIS has changed bc many innocent posters got caught up in this mess not bc the DIS nailed the "bad" ones. The way this was handled left a very poor taste in my mouth, that's for sure!

Havent you posted anough personal info on the DIS and other places of the internet that it wouldnt take a rocket scientist to figure these things out. Maybe you need to learn the lesson that you need to not post personal info on the internet!

To be quite honest with you - I dont know posters names. Ive seen it said several times how Ive 'had it in for them for awhile' - thing is, I never look at, or remember names.

I wouldnt get all blaming on the DIS folks, because IMO, they were doing they best they could, with what they had. Had a mistake been made, Im sure it could have been recitified had it been handled correctly.

I hate to point this out, I am not interested in your life whatsoever, have a nice one, but I have been able to connect the dots from enough of your posts here on the DIS and I aint even trying so I really think you need to rethink what you are posting. And let me ask you this have these people stopped or did getting banned just fuel their fire more to harrass you? I think it is wrong that they are doing this but I dont think being off the DIS is gonna solve your problems.

They did try to come back but their emails were ignored. I do blame the DIS bc they handled this poorly, they should have addressed the specific indivduals and not start banning people in the knee jerk fashion that they did.

I haven't even posted that much recently. And if them getting banned makes them harrass me more, I just don't get that. I had nothing to do with any of them getting banned. I don't know what they've been saying about me recently, and I don't really care either, most of the stuff they've "figured out," is wrong anyway, so they can just think what they think.

Well, what exactly did they have? A site for the disaffected, gossipers/slanderers on that site . . . improper conduct on this site? Sarcasm being against the ToS here . . . heck, alot of the posts here (including ones made by you and me) are sarcastic. Yeah, mistakes were made . . . and the sticky is pretty fictional in its description of events.

I've been banned from a site for no reason, and all e-mails I've sent have been pretty much ignored. I got over it, maybe they should too.

I would appreciate it they would at least take responsibility for the re-direct fiasco. I don't believe the "explanation" touches on that.
