Sigh, the new changes in my school. LONG but please read if possible.

AHH!!!! Ok, I need to vent. I started school three days ago. Last year our principal retired. He had been there since like the 70's. We knew who the new principal was going to be..but i figured that it would be kinda the same. Boy was I wrong. In the lunch room we have different size tables... 4 person circle tables, 4 person square table, 6 person rectangle tables, and 12 person rectangular tables. The first day of school they wouldnt allow anyone to sit at four whole rows of tables..roughly atleast 100 seats let empty. Then on The second day of the school the new principal(along with the new administration team) walked around the lunch room yelling at everyone who sat more than the tables amount of people. We dont have rules like this..so we didnt know why this was happening. Then today they took out EVERY table that wasnt 6 and up in persons amount. They never told us why, but the reason is b/c it is a firehazard. Maybe its me but isnt smashing people in one small spot a bigger hazard than spreading them throughout the lunch room. YES. Then today we have a pep assembly. Like I said in the other post, I dont usually attend since our school is overcrowded, All the kids w/o much interest in sports just sit in the commons (lunch room) which is directly outside the gym. Well today they decided on being nazis...and shoved us all in, making it mandatory to attend. Why should we have to go if we dont want to. I dont like sports, i dont have much spirit. I dont like the pep assemblys. So, even though we are overcrowded..the pricipal decideds we all must go and shoved us all in. Both the bleachers on either side of the gym were packed full, then the kids sat on the floor. Which is the reason we dont have to go, b/c then need the floor so the jocks and cheerleaders. Keep in mind our school was built for like 1500...and we have 2500. Notice the dillema. The principal is finding great ways to piss off the entire student body in a grand 3 days. I think it is a record. He came from middle school...and apperently thinks we are middle schoolers....the things he is changing makes us feel like children..which we are not. I now hate to go to school in fear of being challenged by the Nazi administration.

What are everyones thoughts and oppinions on this subject?????

i got a new principal last year and he is a lot worse then the one we had before too. he made a lot of changes. at first it seemed terrible but i just kind of ignored all that and concentrated on my classes and hanging out with my friends. he too treats us like we are younger then we are- he reads us baby stories and passes around stuff animals. my friends and i try to look at stuff in a different way and just bear with it. it will get better and the problems won't seem as big soon. i promise. good luck

yikes sounds exactlly like my school wel the highschool i went to last year anyway seriosuly we had the same rules me an my friends at pep ralleys make excuses like i have a major headache an this noise isnt helping an my friend would be like yeah i need a help her out an wed walk out into the cafateria the to more of my friends would go to the bath room before u know it we have like 10 peopple in the cafateria ha ha well good luck u should start a patetion

My school does the same exact thing for pep rallies and stuff. And since I go to a Catholic school, we have to have mass on certain days, and we don't have an auditorium or anything, just a really small gym! And for these pep rallies and masses and all, they crowd over 800 students and teachers into this small gym and it feels soooo crowded (and I'm not even claustorphobic).

i seriously doubt that your lunch room seating assignment classify's your school as a "nazi administration" lol

your cafeteria thing sounds lyk my school! They re-did like a good portion of the school this summer , we have like new everything! But the cafeteria or as they call if now " the student center" now has round tables with only 6 stool type chair things at each one and the chairs are connected to the table so you can't even move them to have more people at your table! We also got a new principal whos changing sooo many things its hard to keep track! Your not the only one!

I went to a catholic grade school and im sorry sweetie but your rules are nothing compared to what we had to go through. i swear it was a prison. we had to wear the worlds ugliest uniforms with socks that cover our ankle (apparently they are sexy) no nail polish one ring....no bracelets, only stud earrings, no sandles, no heeless shoes, skirts no more than an inch above the knee(and they measured)and girls carry purses for their umm stuff and they were checked every day and no tennis shoes hmmm.....shoes couldnt be higher than an inch.....no hooded sweatshirts as coats....and i was a cheerleader and there wasnt any mounting and we couldnt wear our cheerleading uniforms to school b/c they were too short and werent school uniform....but all the basketball players could wear there uniform...hmm im kinda mad....ok for now thats all.

I am sorry about all of that. We got a new principal 2 years ago.... but on the same note we had all the old vice principals... they let him know what was going on. Yes there was a few changes and it was a little strange with what happened.... but that is what life is about..... change. You have to learn to deal with what is handed to you. And you are in High school... i knwo it may be hard since you are both still getting use to each other but everyone one will get along in the end.

I know how everyone with a new principal feels. Our high school has never had the same principal for more than one year since 5 years ago.
It is so annoying. Right now, we dont even have a principal, so our school is hectic.
