Sorry, I know this is petty with all the sadness in the world but...I'm grieving the loss of my first ressie as a DVC owner. Even though it was a reservation made for a point rental transaction that fell through...even though I knew we couldn't use the reservation ourselves because we are hosting a family reunion at our cabin in northern Minnesota that week...I feel a sense of loss for the "vacation that could have been." Ah, well, keep planning for that big family vacation down the road...and keep on the DIS to stay in touch and I guess I'll get by. Bittersweet...(sigh!)

I can understand part of where youre coming from
We bought into DVC 11/01, after dreaming about our 1st DVC vaca for 11months it fell through 22hrs before we were to leave our house

It took a few yrs but I finally have faith in Disney again - hang in there

Um..maybe I missed some thing...or I'm too new to know any better...but how do ressies fall through?

In this case, "fell thru" means the renter backed out of the deal (apparently had more than one deal in the works and decided to let mine go). No big deal, it happens...just makes me a little sad to think "what might have been."

this is why bongo make them pay all up front so if they bail they lose their cash..........i will redo their ressies one time for 100 dollar charge but that is it..........the points are distressed but they remain the owners...........i have only had i thappen once and the renters never made their trip and did not use the distressed points............the expired unused but i di get paid.........that is why all you DVcers out there really need to think long and hard about partial payments.............
