Thurs~ we finished our day out at Universal. We then at dinner at margartiaville at City Walk. Mmmmmm. I just love the atmosphere of this place - with the music playing - feels so florida=) I had the Jambalaya which was delicious. Ds had the volcano nachos (all 3 kids should have shared this - it was huge) DH had a cheeseburger(He's so orignial) and 6yoDD had a Pb&J for $7! HA! 8yoDD had mac and cheese - nothing special. Bill came to roughly $50. We got to see the volcano erupt - told the kids they may have someone going around making balloons for them but we had no luck.

Friday we woke up early so Dh could ride Front Row seats of the Hulk. The park was to open at 9 - but we new they usually open up little bit earlier (8:45 this morning). We headed straight to the HUlk - not sure if 6yoDD would be able to ride or even want to - this time she was a go ahead - she did the front row and loved it! So she wanted to go again - I stayed behind cause of the headache thing - Dh said after they got up and seated they held up the ride because they thought DD was to small - he took her off and had her stand under a clip board but he again gave her the go ahead.
We did the Super hero part again and then headed over for a fuller day at Universal.
This day we let the kids put their suits underneath their clothes so they could have a good time at Curious George section.
They wanted to do Back to the Future - I had worries of the head starting up again so DH and I told the 3 of the kids to go use the express passes and go. We watched them go up in the line and the express didn't help them any on this ride - they still had to wait outside behind everyone. They stood there maybe 5 mins, if that and then we see them come walking back - complaining that the lines were to long. What have we created here? haha Will they never be able to wait in a line again?
Even myself - to think of how long the Disney lines are - or even what Busch Gardens might be(thinking of trying there next year) is dreadful and makes me not want to go anywheres else=)
Anyroo, we were in the parks till about 3ish when the rains came.
The kids were in the Curiosu George section for a good 45mins when they closed it down. We decided to go back to the hotel.
We were hoping to do the "dive" in movies down by the pool - the Cat in the Hat was supposed to be playing but we got rained out=/ Bummer.
Today we checked our of the RPR - still had our express pass - and headed back to IOA - we did almost everything in the park by noon. We skipped JP play area and Flyers, Sinbad, psoidons Fury and the carosoul - thats it - did everything else.
Then ate at Nascar Cafe - kids thought this was cool. The 3 kids shared the appetizer sampler - found this was cheaper than ordering 3 kids meals at $6.piece. I had the salad - was very good. Dh had the cheeseburger(think he's stuck on that) - bill came to $35 - not bad.
Then went to MIB - again Dh had to make a deal - whoever won got to pick the next ride . Made it exciting - cept for the person that ALWAYS loses - Moi! First, have to complain about the Express line today - no clue what they were thinking. We rode this yesterday - and they sent the line behind to the right, skipping the elevator part - we liked that way better. This time, we had to go in with everyone else with the elevator. Then once we walked otu the elevator, there was a lady there scanning the passes but then holding up the express lane not letting everyone keep on walking. This created a huge back up - a bunch of us went in the reg.lane which was moving faster - and then saw no one standing in the express(we had thought maybe it was so backed up they were holding some of us back)...so, a bunch of us went back over into the express lane. I don't know what the problem was and why we were held back unless to get the reg.waiting line moving faster. Anyroo, Dh won the deal - had 358,000 pts to my measly 14,000 - yes, I stink! and what was Dh's choice? To ride home!!!!!!!!!! PARTY POOPER! haha He finally picked Earthquake because the girls have not seen that one yet. 6yo little apprehensive - but did ok as long as she could squeeze my hand=)

And then....it was time to drive back home....boo hoo. I don't know when we will be back. I was hoping to catch the Mummy but we missed the soft openings and our passes have now expired. I guess I"ll just have to hang around here more to get my fix and here how excited y'all are to rie it!!

Hope you enjoyed!

I'm with you on MIB. I LOVE the ride but even though I have read all the tips, my scores always stink. We have had the experience of the express line at MIB taking forever too. One time they held us in the line outside before you even get to the elevator while they let 3 or 4 groups of people from the regular line in. Then at the split, they were scanning express cards so that took some time. I guess it just depends on the crowds as to how they do it.

Thanks for posting your reports. I enjoyed reading them!

Thanks for sharing sounds like u all had a great time:jester:

Loved your trip reports!! thanks for taking the time to post

little kids are soooo funny - a ride that is throwing them all over the place is no big deal to them but..... put them on a 3D ride and they freak!!:scared: at least my DS5 does

lucky you to live in the land of the sun
:sunny:

counting down the days

Not this morning, Honey, I have a headache?
My kids and I do the same thing with "High score get to choose where/what we ..." Must be a guy thing. Had you just kept the trigger engaged you would have done better than 14k.
Sounds like it is time for the 2 year preferred pass?
Thanks for the report.

I enjoyed reading your report. We just got back from a quick trip ourselves, and I have already booked another trip for Sept.
Re: the Hulk:

The Hulk gives me a headache, too. I rode it three times on our trip (am I a moron or what?), and got a headache every time. It never bothered my DH.
Have they changed the height requirement for Hulk, or is your daughter REALLY tall? My older DD is a tall-ish 8 and I'm not sure she'll make the requirement
Thanks for the report!

I also get a headache on Hulk (migraine). I've figured out how to do Dueling Dragons and not get a headache (hold my head forward for the ride), but Hulk is a problem.

Thanks for the trip reports! They were fun to read.

Here's a tip for MIB for those of you that couldn't shoot an elephant from10 feet away.

Hold the trigger down the hold time. You don't even have to hit anything and you will get around 22,000 points. (Every 10th shot of the gun gives you 250 points whether you shoot anything or not so holding the trigger down and just pointing at the ground will get you 22,000 points by the end of the ride.)

Then when you turn the corner and see the big, big bug at the end (the one you go into), push and hold down the red button. Keep the button down until you see your score flashing "Bonus." Push it way before you enter the big bug (I suggest as soon as you can see it). You don't even have to shoot your gun to get the bonus. Then you can be guaranteed a score of at least 122,000.
