Since everyone on this board has been so helpful to me I thought I'd let you guys know what I thought of this hotel on my recent trip to Orlando.
First of all, we were told there was a complimentary shuttle to both Disney and Universal. While this was true, they neglected to tell us that we had to walk to another hotel to be picked up for the Universal shuttle. After finding this out my fiance and I allowed ourselves extra time in the morning to walk to the other hotel. The woman at the front desk told us to go out of the hotel and go left and that the hotel would be two hotels down from where we were....COMPLETELY WRONG!!! Not only should we have gone right, the hotel was behind our hotel off to the right. We spent 25 minutes just trying to find the hotel and when we finally did, we missed the shuttle. We had to wait an hour and a half for another one, not a good start to the day.
The sheets seemed a bit too small for the bed and anytime you made any type of movement they would come off....I fixed them for the first 5 or 6 times but after that was too annoyed and just slept with them the way they were. Also, the headboard on our bed was loose so anytime you would turn over in the night it would start clanging against the wall, not what you want to hear at 3 am. I know hotel pillows aren't the greatest things but our pillows were paper thin and even sleeping with two wasn't equal to the thickness of one normal pillow at home.
The best part was when I woke up on my last morning there. There was an envelope that had been slipped under the door with a bill for express checkout. It included $50 for the in room safe and I could not understand this since I had been told the safe was only $1 a day. Since I was not about to let this slide and do the express checkout my fiance and I finished getting ready and went downstairs to do the regular checkout. I put my room key and key to the safe down on the desk and the girl called up my information and said ok everything is fine and will be billed to your credit card. I told her I was returning the safe key and that they needed to deduct the $50 from my bill and that I preferred to pay cash for my incidental charges. The sum of my incidentals was small, incurred only by "local calls" which apparently are quite expensive so I figured I'd just pay it off and forget about it. The girl said you don't need a receipt right? I said I guess not as long as it's taken care of, she assured me it was and we left to spend our last day at the park. When I returned home I found that they had charged my credit card again for the incidentals. I have called them 5 times and this still has not been straightened out. I feel they tried to take advantage of me with the express checkout, billing me as if I had lost the key and hoping I wouldn't notice. Even when I went downstairs the girl tried to do the same thing until I insisited the charge was taken off and now with being charged twice I am furious.
I have learned my lesson and I don't think I will stay offsite again....next time we are doing either a Disney or Universal resort. Even if we do do another offsite hotel in the future, it will never be Sierra Suites again!!! Hope my experience helps some of you doing your hotel hunting out there.

Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. Some of the hotels really try and stick it to you with these "incindentals". $50 for a safe is insane. We had to pay a $15 valet fee per day at the Marriott, which was also really unbelievable. We agree, and will probably stay onsite next time also, even if it's at a moderate.

I just have to say that while I understand that you are frustrated (and rightly so!!) I really wouldn't give up on offsite altogether. We have stayed offsite many many times and it is rare to run into problems. Yes, you have to watch where you stay and do your research, but I am sure onsite runs into problems too on occassion.
