Sienna survived her spaying

Today was Sienna's turn to go in to be speutered. She was such a brave little girl when I dropped her off, but I can't wait to see her this evening when I get home (my mom's picking her up)

I went down to the Christmas department luncheon, and when I got back, I had a message waiting to say she was awake and made it through the spaying just fine and can be picked up at 4.

Thankfully, I got in to work early enough this morning *despite* having to take her in to the vet, that I can leave about 6, which is earlier than I usually can leave.

Thanks for the well-wishes last week when I was so nervous about taking her in.

The cat we got from the animal shelter had to be spayed before we could adopt her. She still has a bulge where the operation was done. We took her in to the vet after one week when she developed the bulge. They said that it was normal. She still has the bulge a week later, so we will be taking her in again in a few days. I guess that she may always have that bulge. She seems to be acting perfectly normal.

Both my parents' Shih Tzu developed a little bulge like that that stayed with them for quite a while. But it's still worth asking the vet about.

Glad to hear Sienna is okay. My cats have had little buldges or the like afterwards and it was perfectly normal apparently. One cat still sort of has reminants of the surgery but is perfectly healthy. I hope Sienna's recovery period goes well too
