Planning on staying at Disney All stars this summer. Would like to include Universal and Seaworld. Does it make sense to stay at Disney resort and rent a car for a few days to drive to Universal & Seaworld? How is driving there? (traffic, finding your way, cost of car rental etc.) or would it better to stay offsite for those days while visiting? Any suggestions? ::MinnieMo

if you are going off-site - then staying off-site is always better.

don't pay WDW prices for off-site.

that say

to get to seaworld - take the AS bus to the mK - then take the monrail to the TTC and then take Lynx 50 to SW here is the schedule
http://www.golynx.com/schedule.cfm?route=50

us/ioa is not easy to get to with public transportation.

For Universal Studios/IOA: Call the front desk the night before you want to go to either places you ask to be connected to Mears, they have vans that go daily, they charge around $14 round trip per person. You pay the driver cash on boarding and they give you return ticket with a phone no. to call about 2 hours before you want to return. Return to the spot you were left off at USO and the van will take you back to your resort. You may have stops going/coming from the resort but its easier than taking the public transportation at least for USO. I've tried the Lynx bus to USO and its a nightmare, took half a day to get there, never again. HTH :cool1:

During the summer staying on property at US/IoA for the FOTL pass is a huge plus. The problem is that the darn hotels are so expensive. If you can stay there for 1 night you'll get FOTL for both days, so that may be worth it to you.
