Kirbsam mentioned in his day three trip report that someone, possibly robvia, told him about a side entrance between IOA and USO. Anyone know about this?

Was this possibly the entrance to UO next to Hard Rock Cafe?

No, I don't think so. In his report he says, "i joined them later and we decided to head to ioa before the mardi gras parade. we went on all of our favorite rides for a couple of hours at ioa, again fotl was great. and then headed to universal studios. thanks to a tip, from robvia, i think, we took the side entrance into universal about 6, and there was a lone ticket taker there and no lines. there were lines at the main entrance. thanks for that great tip, by the way.

I've been to the parks about 6 times, but only in September and I've never seen this.

There was the side entrance next to Hard Rock, though after the Blue Man Group show opens, I dont know if it will stay there

Oh, o.k. I took it to mean that he went through the side from IOA, but he could have left the park and walked to the Hard Rock Cafe.
Thanks :)

The only time that you can access IOA from USF or vice versa is when they have Halloween Horror Nights in both parks so there's a walkway leading from Seuss landing to the soundstages at USF.Otherwise the only thing they could be talking about is the entrance to USF by the Hard Rock Cafe!!After BMG opens I have no idea if there will still be an entrance there!!

i've used that way for years to go from one park to another.
it's usually one ticket taker standing there ......and bored.......

i read a separate entrance will eventually be made for bmg.
either way, can't see the side entrance open when bmg is going on this summer.

hey, is bmg only a summer event?
will it be open october?

Blue Man Group is basically a new permanent Citywalk venue. The old Nick studios in Universal were transformed for this show. The show is not included in a theme park pass,I think tickets are like $60,and hopefully annual passholders get a discount!!I think it's supposed to open in June!!

AP holders do get a pretty good discount. It is a permanent fixture, and the new entrance is being constructed at the end of Jimmy Nuetron. You'll be able to go down the same path and miss the line, but you'll have to walk a little further into the park.
