i tried the search feature, must not be using the correct words. We are at Disney right now, at BWV. My DS 14 is ill. I have Tylenol and Motrin, and can buy more at the store downstairs. I can't remember the name of the service for medical care. Thanks for any help.

Just check with the front desk. Usually the CM are very helpful with directing you to the right spot for medical care or a local urgent care.

Offsite Urgent Care
Florida Hospital Centra Care Walk-In Urgent Care Centers are open 8:00 AM to midnight, Monday through Friday, and 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday.

Complimentary transportation is available and many insurance plans are accepted. Call (407) 934-2273 for more info.

I also had great luck calling my insurance's 24 nurse line. There might be a similar number on the back of your insurance card. They helped me identify the nearest urgent care that accepted our insurance, and talked me through a whole long decision tree of what might be wrong and if I even needed to go to urgent care.

They can also send a doctor to your room. We were offered that service a couple years ago, but decided to go to Centra Care instead. What a bad decision. Half a day wasted, so many really sick people coughing all over the waiting area, and it was still out of pocket for our insurance.

Should have paid the $250 or so for the doctor to visit me :)

Hope your child feels better!

Turner drugs delivers. Let the front desk know what's going on, they might adjust your admission tickets, provide extra room cleanings and schedule the room for a deep clean when you check out.

We went to an urgent care recommended by the front desk at POR a few years ago.
It was early morning so we were in & out in very little time.
Prescription was delivered to front desk at POR within a few hours.
Good luck.

Thank you so much. Been up with him all night, not thinking clearly. Check with front desk. Didn't even cross my mind . First though was check the Dis!

Some might say that you'll get more reliable info here! Please do check back in after the visit. Hope everything turns out well.

You can reserve a time at the urgent care so you won't have much wait time. They will pick you up and return you to your resort. They had a pharmacy on site and it was only about 2.00 more than a cvs. Just charged me my copay for the visit. Very convenient. They were nice and the care was very good. They called me the next day to see how I was feeling and then called me after I was home to check up on me. Very pleased. Hope he feels better soon.

Update. Had Centra Care pick us up at BWV, we went to the Lake Buena Vista office. Which, for reference, is very close to Disney Springs. We were picked up at 10:15 and dropped back off at 1:00. His temperature was 101 when we got there! They tested for strep and flu. He has Flu Type B.

Thanks for all the help. I really appreciate it.

Love the Dis!

Glad to hear you at least figured out what is wrong. Stinks this is happening during your vacation, but hopefully he will start feeling better and making the most of your trip. My suggestion is that if you can find some hand sanitizer to or some sort of antibacterial cleaner -- wipe down everything he touches or has touched -- those virus/bacteria are very catchy!!! Maybe see if housekeeping has something and possibly even pay for the linens to be changed in a day. Might be overkill, but you can never be too cautious.

Thanks for the advice. Got antibacterial wipes at the front desk.
