If you're going into the parks and go on rides, then time shouldn't really be an issue. They usually will give you some VIP fast passes to attend. The hour and half for the tour is more than covered by not having to stand in line for 3 busy rides.
IMHO , depending on your family make up , until you've
actually seen the room sizes/layouts it's often difficult to know exactly how many points you actually need. I agree with the advice to get as much information as you can prior to the next trip, but if this is the best trip to take a look , make it a priority. Otherwise you'll still be talking about it in another 5 years. If you ask most members if they have one main regret about
DVC what is it, it is that they didn't look into it earlier. You can gather a lot of info on these boards in a just a few hours of digging, however in my experience, most people can't make a fully educated decision until after they have been through the rooms and imagined what their vacations would be like with their families in those accommodations.
Make time, it will be worth it.
