Shuttles that go to Epcot, how do you go to the other parks from there?

I'm confused how this works. What do you do to get to MK, HS and AK?

Also, how far is it to get everywhere?

Park-to-Park transportation is done by either buying that new fast shuttle pass or taking a bus/monorail to the TTC and hopping on transportation to the next park.

Transportation from EPCOT:

To MK: Board the Monorail to TTC. Transfer to the express monorail, resort monorail, or ferry boat to get to the Magic Kingdom.
To HS: You can take a boat from the International Gateway entrance between England/France in World Showcase. I think there is a bus that takes you to HS from EPCOT as well, but I usually take the boat.
To AK: There is a bus that will take you to AK from EPCOT.

Keep in mind that there is now the express bus transportation that can take you from inside one park to inside the next park. This is an uncharge, but it can save you a lot of time. You will only have to go through security at your first park if you choose to do this option.

I'm talking about off site shuttles that drop you off at Epcot. Please help with where the Disney buses are located to go from Epcot to AK and HS when you haven't entered the park.

My understanding is that there isn't direct transportation from park to park. Do you take any Disney resort bus and then go to the other parks from that Disney resort?

There is direct transportation between all Disney theme parks. From outside the Epcot entrance, you can take a direct bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios or Disney's Animal Kingdom. To reach Magic Kingdom, you will take the monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center. There, you will switch to a different monorail (or take the ferry) to reach the main entrance. In the event any monorail is out of service, Disney will provide buses.

At Epcot, the area where off-site shuttle buses load/unload is right next to Disney buses. The monorail station is slightly further. Just look for signs that tell you which bus bay to enter to reach your destination. If you have questions, there's usually a Disney Cast Member around.

A: Epcot Main Entrance
B: Monorail Station (outside Epcot - no admission required to use)
C: Parking Lot Tram Loading
D-G: Various Disney Bus Loading Bays
H: Off-Site Shuttle Drop-Off/Pick-Up

Although gates can change, in my experience the buses to Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom parks usually stop in area "F".

Thank-you that's better than I thought.

One more question: Is it the same in reverse? Can you get from HS and AK back to Epcot, as well? Also, is it direct buses, as well?

If you're staying off site, I would very highly recommend having a car. Relying on first the hotel shuttle, then WDW buses is probably going to wind up being very frustrating and take SO much of your time. With a car, you go where you want, when you want.

Perfect. Then toss out the idea of using a shuttle and WDW buses. We've never done it, so I can't speak to it first hand. But I've read about others who have. We always stay off site and I can say from many years of experience that having your car on property is just fabulous. I can't imagine ever having to rely on WDW buses, and then on a hotel shuttle on top of it. Nope, no thanks.
