Hello all!

I'm a WDW veteran, but I've only been to DL once. I'll be returning in a few months for a convention I have. I'm staying at the GC. I'm flying into LAX and out of John Wayne. At WDW, I know that offer Magic Express for people staying at WDW hotels. They'll pick you up at the airport and take you back (much like shuttle service at hotels). Does the Grand Californian offer anything like that?

I'm trying to find out if they do so I can go ahead and make those arrangements.

The Disneyland Express Bus is indeed of the options. It offers a great service, the price are very reasonable and the bus, both indoor and outdoor, well remind you of the Magical Express.

Otherwise, you can always go for regular shuttle companies such as Super Shuttle.

No. Here are some options for you:

If you prepay ahead online, Super Shuttle from LAX to the Disney area is $36 minus $3 if you use the code UYR59.

I've used Karmel Shuttle twice, now, and have had great experiences each time. (SuperShuttle and Disneyland Resort Express haven't had two great experiences in a row for me yet)

I second this!! It averaged out to be about $17 per person one way. They even took me from Hojos to the cruise terminal. Great service!

On my most recent trip to Disneyland, I decided to take a shared ride van since I wanted to maximize my time in the parks and had no reason to go elsewhere in southern California. I used SuperShuttle both from and to LAX. I checked-in with the SupperShuttle agent at 2315, but because their computers were down, I did not get to my hotel until 0330 the next morning. It was a complete nightmare.

There were about 60 people waiting for the SuperShuttle and empty vans just kept passing us by because there was no computer to match the passengers with the vans. About 2 hours into the fiasco a SuperShuttle supervisor comes and calls in about 10 vans and manually groups us into the vans.

The return trip was the complete opposite. About 10 seconds (yes seconds) after I walk out of my hotel to wait for the shuttle, I see it coming up the street. We didn't pick up anyone after that, straight to the airport.

Even with the nightmare trip from LAX to the hotel, I plan on using them again, only because the return trip was perfect and since I work in the IT field, I understand that computers go down once in a while (still, I think SuperShuttle should have a backup computer)

I thought SuperShuttle was 16 pp one way Lax to Anaheim. Am I reading their website wrong? Gotta know! We are flying in Tues 7/31:).

That's strange I paid $15 each way + a $3 tip each way for a total of $30 + $6 = $36. That was for shuttle service from the airport on 7/13 and to the airport on 7/15. Did they increase their price just recently?

In any case, have a great time at Disneyland! :)

Thank you- was worried about 36 didnt know if she meant rt or one way!
Did you pre pay on line or at the airport? Our other option is DRExpress. We have 7 ppl arriving 2 different days/3 different times!

I pre-paid online, although I did see a few people pay at the airport. I have not tried the DRExpress, because I usually arrive after their last bus at 10:30PM.

I believe that the Disneyland magic factor increases in direct proportion to the number of people in your party. You are going to have an absolute blast with a group of 7 :)

So, I am confused because I have done the quote now 10 times and each time it's been $35 first person + $9 each aditional person each way (of course you can get a discount on a second person with a code but the base is still the same). Not sure how you guys are gettin $15 each way

I"m going to reply, then check to see if my reply is right.

Are you using the zip code for your quote? Using zip code yields a higher price than using the hotel name.

(now I'm going to check it out to make sure...I wanted to reply NOW in case time was of the essence for you)

Yep.

Using 92802 I get $38 for the first person.

If I take, for example, Carousel Inn and use their hotel search, instead of "enter address manually" (which is what brings up the zip code option), I get $16.

I was just using Disneyland. Let me try just a hotel name.
thanks for the tip.

Yup! Gonna have a blast! All 5 of my kids ages 14-27 and my brother who hasn't been there in 20 years!!! My cousin and her kids should join us a day or 2 and my Marine nephew as well.
