I was just wondering what the shuttle service is like at the off site hotels. We are planning to go to disneyworld next summer,I dont know if were staying off site or on site yet.my DH doesnt want to rent a car, he doesnt want to drive around somewhere unfamilar.

Carrie, I would suggest. You, and your husband, stay onsite. If, he doesnt feel like driving. Disney transportation. Is always the most reliable!! Plus, it is covered, with your paid package!! Have a great trip!! Oh, and check out the transportation boards :goodvibes

I agreed with faindrops27 - if your husband doesn't want to rent a car - then staying onsite is probably best.

how about you - would you consider driving?

you can get some great deals offsite.

now some hotels do offer free shuttles to the parks. Now some of the shuttles share with the other hotels. So when it gets to you it may be full. also if you do get on and get a seat (instead of standing) it might be while before you get to the parks - because it does to other hotels first.

always check with the hotel before you make a reservation about their transportation.

the condos/houses generally don't have transportation - although some may be close enough to the local bus system.

someone says that their housing development had transportation to the parks. but I didn't remember to write the name down.

here is the bus system so you can see for yourself

Thankyou. We are hoping to stay on site but there are 6 of us and staying offsite would be alot cheaper so we may not have a choice.

if you want to stay on WDW property.

disney now has all star music suites. it does sleep 6.

so does FW cabins. so does a 2-bedroom DVC villa.

the all star music suites would be the cheapest alternative.

or you could get 2 rooms at the value resorts.

we found at, as the bus pulled up, that it was shared with a few other hotels, so it was FULL. We had to wait for the next one. I had no idea this would be the case. The next day we drive and forked over parking money, so that we were not at the mercy of one bus and 500 people.
