Shuttle or walk

We have book thru Disney at Hojo's and were given free bus passes. I have two nites at BWPPI booked and waiting for the other two.

I have read that HoJo's is the better hotel for pools, rooms, and we were given a tower room. However, BW is right across the street and I do have a 4 yr old with special needs. He does love Disney buses.

Which would be the best choice for us? Is there that much of a difference? How crowded are the buses and how often do they come?

We leave soon and I haven't even started to pack yet.

The shuttle from the hotels is actually not a Disney bus. Its ART, you can find more info at http://www.rideart.org The walk from Hojo's is not that bad. Its less then 15 minutes from the hotel to the gates. Its probably 1/2 that to the BWPPI.

Well we stayed on ball road, which is a bit further away from Hojo's and we walked it a few days and it wasnt so bad, but granted we didnt have someone with needs. Hojo's is probably a 5-10 minute walk depending on how fast you want to walk.

We used the Art system and it was fantastic. The busses say that they run every 20 minutes or so, but lets be realistic, they came about every half hour, but still were really great. Sometimes the busses were a bit fuller then usual but there were always seats. They have wheel chair accessability at the back, and I am sure that even if its a bit crowded someone will be willing to give up their seat for your child. About 80% of the time or more though there are seats available.

I found taking the shuttle a really fun way to get to Disney, because your going to the park with other really really excited families and you all get talking about what your going to do, you can give each other tips, etc. Some days you get back on with the same people, and at the end of the day you also sometimes get back on with some of the same people and you can then talk about your day. It was a very fun way to meet people and to get tips and excite yourself.

Just remember thought that the ART system goes down for an hour in the afternoon, from 12-1 or from 1-2 I cant remember, but during that time they dont run as they are on lunch break, and the ART system stops running an hour after the park closes, so you would either have to walk it or pay about $5.00 for a cab, and cabs sit right there in the bus loop. No lack of those guys.

He may reach over and just touch a strangers skin or say "you are my friend". It is a social disorder with different behaviours. People look at me like I am the worst parent in the world but won't they don't know is that he has autism and somethings we can't change overnite.

That is why we love Disney, for a brief time he is just a little guy having a good time and now and then he does some strange things. Find me a person who doesn't.
