Hello:wave2:
We just booked for 7 night/8 days at Bonnet Creek. It's our first time staying off Disney property. We are flying in and will have to rely on the shuttle bus to get back and forth to the parks. Would someone be kind enough to explain to me how the buses work? One concern I have is another poster mentioned they don't run late. Will I be able to see wishes and still have a ride back to the hotel? Any information would be appreciated!

They ran late enough when we were there. They will also have a schedule posted when you go. They don't come as often as Disney buses on site do, but they still do a good job. The biggest issue is afternoon because they take a break. They come often early morning and evening but not so much around lunchtime. But even then, they can be accomodating.

For example, at one point they were scheduled to continuously be going TO the parks but not coming from (I have no idea why). My littlest one was feeling very ill so on a whim, I left the park, and went to the bus loop. When the bus dropped off the people, I walked up and asked if there was anyway he would let us on to go back and he did with a smile.

But even in a worse case scenario, you can take a taxi. From Bonnet, it's not very expensive. We took a taxi twice during that week for whatever reason.

The bus drivers do have a tip jar and I found them all to be very smiley and helpful so we tipped a dollar everytime we got on the bus. But I gave the one bus driver more since he was kind enough to make an exception for us.

Sorry, I don't. But you can take a taxi to and from Epcot which is VERY close and then use Disney transportation for the rest. The only reasons we ever used them was when we unexepectantly needed to leave. I came down with a 24 hour stomach bug that started while I was at Epcot. I don't even know if the bus was operating at that time. I just didn't want to wait and wanted back to the hotel immediately, lol.

We ended up moving here 2 months after we stayed at Bonnet. But if we ever moved away and took a vacation back, that's where I would stay. It was a pretty amazing place at a great price. Everytime I drive past it I still smile. We stayed in one of the pres suites and I did a trip report on it. You will have a great time!

Hello. :) How much is the fee for the shuttle bus at Bonnet Creek? I know it used to be free but heard they started to charge for it w/in the last year.

In Dec. the bus was $6.00 a day per person and you had to buy a ticket for a particular day - not a ticket that was good for any time. Considering what it will cost to get from the airport to Bonnet Creek you are really better off renting a car for your trip.

Ok, thanks! I'd still have to pay to park at Disney so it depends on what kind of a deal I can get w/a rental..

New question: Do the buses drop off at the TTC or the new MK bus loop?

Only Disney buses use the terminal by the entrance to the Magic Kingdom. You will be dropped off at TTC.
