We arrive at the Carribean Beach Resort around 3:30pm and plan on hanging out at the resort our first night. I would like to hear any reviews for Shutters restaraunt, the table service in Old Port Royale. It would be nice to let the kids relax and unwind after a whole day of travel by hitting the resort pool and eating dinner right there. Thanks!

We are thinking of booking this for our arrival night also. The menu isn't very large so I'm not sure if we should book or not? Need to hear some very good reviews before I book.

We stayed at CBR in 2007 and the food was excellent! We were surprised and it was one of our better meals during our trip. We were on the dining plan as well when it had appetizers. Boy were we stuffed that night!

Some people love it.I did not .We have eaten here at least 3 times and each time was as bad .The food was cold, meat very fatty and waiter non existent( other than to ask about how we were going to tip). But like I said alot of people like it well enough.

Anyone else? We still cant make up our mind. The menu is kinda small but we have a whole week to run to adr's at Epcot, Poly, etc. Is there outdoor seating here? How about a view? Thanks for any input!!:worship:

We ate at night, so I don't recall any view. I believe all the seating is indoors. It was pleasant, nice service, perfectly acceptable food.

As for the small menu, as long as you can find one thing to eat, you should be fine!

For a first evening, sounds like a good option - but I would call and make an ADR, just to avoid the wait once you check in.

we ate there the 1st night of our 1st trip to disney, in 2006. :goodvibes but to be honest, the food was soooo unremarkable. it wasn't bad, it wasn't good. it was just food. i do not recall any outdoor seating and the view was nill. the decor was also unremarkable. even looking back at pics of it.... bo-ring. if you really want to do it just for convenience, i don't think it's a terrible idea, but it's not somewhere i would bother to go to again.

As in the past, I will go with dis advice. Epcot is close by so maybe we will just go over our first evening at the world and eat there.
