Shutterfly gift cards not working?

I ordered 2 Shutterfly gift cards from Ebay. Each is $20. I asked the seller to email me the codes so I wouldn't have to wait to get the mail. The seller has 100% feedback, both as a buyer and a seller. And she has sold coupons and gift cards before, again with great feedback. Both of the codes are coming up as invalid when I try to enter them.

Edited: I tried entering one as a "special offer" code, and it worked. Well now I'm screwed. I thought this was a gift card. The Ebay listing says it's a gift card. It's showing in my account as "Dollar Rewards" from Target (had to sign into Shutterfly from Target to even get it to go through). So now I can't combine it with the credit I had in there. It's actually more expensive to order my stuff with this "gift card" than with my original promo code. What should I say to the seller? Should I ask for a refund?

I would ask for a refund. She listed a "gift card" and that is not what she sold you. She may not be aware of the difference and then again, she may be. Explain to her & if she won't offer you your money back, report her to eBay for selling you a different item than listed. She listed a gift card & sold you what is essentially a coupon.

Def ask for a refund! I currently have a $20 offer from Target that I found on retail me not, it was open to the public! Didn't cost me a thing!!!

Definitely complain.

In the meantime there is a way to select the better offer. When you get to the checkout page there is a section that shows the special offers that have been applied and next to the listing of offers that have been applied should be the words "see details". Click to see the details, you can then uncheck the offer she sent you and select the offer you want to use. Shutterfly will tell you if the items in your cart don't qualify for the offer you selected.
