Dh said Shut up, and I asked if he said Shut up (I have had 1 bottle of wine by myself tonight...)

He said, No I said shut up (in his best french accent), it is french for I love you...

That is nice. My DH and I usually express our feeling by telling the other he/she is number 1, with sign language. Though the kids I work with think that the middle finger means something else.

Too funny. I am suppose to set an example at work so that is a no go for me. However, I do work with a lot of at risk kids so I tell them that if they are not waving hi or telling me I'm "number one" they are flashing a gang sign. They don't like it, but it makes it very easy for them to understand. So usually they just tell me I'm "number one".
