My wife and I will be at OKW next week for our anniversary. We would like to try Shula's for the first time. We've been to The Yachtman's many times in the past and was wondering how these two restaurants compair. Thanks in advance.

I've never been to either but I hear from a friend that Shulas is wonderful.

I've never been to Yachtsman, but Shula's is one of our favorites!! You will never get a bad steak there! It's pricey - but well worth it, especially for an anniversary! :flower:

Shula's is the best steak on property. The portions areHUGE so I suggest splitting sides as they are HUGE as well.

Shula's may very well have the best steaks across the board at WDW...But they are so Un-Disney it isn't funny. If you want the great steak in a clubby atmosphere and don't mind paying through the nose for the privialage of eating there (that's how the wait staff tends to treat fokls, IMO), then Shula's will be agreat choice. For a great steak in a Disney atmosphere try FF (NY Strip) or Jiko or AP (Filet)...

In my opinion, they are both great choices. Shula's has a more masculine atmosphere with bigger portions and a higher price. Overall, I would say the quality of Shulas is a hair better. Neither place will disappoint.

I love both places because the food is very basic...just high quality without a lot of fluff.

I think evryone should give it a try at least once.YSH is great also and the cost for dinner is lower. :goodvibes :earsboy: :flower: :wave2:

I haven't been to YS but we ate at Shula's in March. Not impressed witht the food or the service. Plan on a very long meal there with little attention from the wait staff. Steaks were not great, but we do get exceptionally good beef in our part of the country, so we may be more picky than others. I had a much better steak (& meal) at Le Cellier. The service was great there too!

You may also want to check out if you have a Shula's near you. I have 3 within driving distance from my home, so I don't feel the need to dine at the one at the Dolphin.

I agree with Pirate. The meat is supurb, but the service is more "correct" than Disney friendly--almost as tho they have no idea where their restaurant is located. The place does have a distinct "mens club" look and feel to it.
