Can someone can me some input on Shula's? We have ressies there for dinner one night during our next trip to the World. Never been and really looking forward to it. What are your must haves?? Thanks!

For appetizers, we LOVE the french onion soup... and the crab cake was the best crab cake either one of us had every had in our lives (and we order them everywhere!).

He gets the porterhouse, I get a filet.... both excellent!! We got the potato pancake/hashbrown thing and it was huge!!!! We were already so full from the apps that we barely touched it.

Next time I think we'll just get the apps, our steak and dessert!!

sounds yummy!!! we are definitely crab cake and onion soup fans!! yeah!!!

forgot to add that we've been to Le Cellier as well as Yachtsman and wondered how Shula's compared.

I would give Le Cellier a 8.5 out of 10 and I would give Yachtsman a 4.5 out of 10.

Hopefully we'll enjoy Shula's! Looking forward to our vacation!

Porterhouse!!!! Shula's is great, we visit the one in Cleveland sometimes. I remember when the Super Bowl was in Miami a few years back, Man vs. Food on the Travel Channel did a Super Bowl special with the steak at Shula's in Miami. It came highly recommended by them :thumbsup2

Porterhouse is a must! I can't eat the entire thing in one sitting like DH, but makes for a great lunch the next day and still tastes amazing! We loved the double baked potatoe and it is big enough for 2! The Ceasar salad is amazing and the crab cakes are to die for! :thumbsup2 Excellent restaurant!

Well previous to our trip to Shula's we would have given Le Cellier a 1.5 out of 10 (2 bad experiences) and Yachtsman 10 out of 10. Compared to that... Shula's gets a 15 out of 10. Do not miss that crab cake!!!

Also watch restaurant . com for sales as they have Shula's certificates really cheap sometimes!!

We went in Dec. Its pretty pricey. I think dh and I spent about $160 with a tiw discount and no alcohol.

I had the crab cake and it was amazing. I think dh might have had the shrimp cocktail or something like that. I did see the next table get the wedge type salad. It was huge!!

Dh and I had the lobster bisque. Very good.

We both had the special ribeye of the night that was not on the menu.

We shared the baked potato. It was not a whole potato, actually one half of a long potato. I didnt think it was good.

We also shared the creamed spinach. That was pretty good but a little garlicky.

For dessert we shared the chocolate souffle. It was amazing.

We have also been to Le Cellier and Yachtsman. Shulas is the best. There is really no comparison.

Oh and when we were there in December it was the baseball winter meetings. Who was at the table next to us but Hank Aaron. Amazing!!

French onion soup, prime rib, cowboy ribeye, choc lava cake. DH loves the huge baked potato - he's really a steak and potato guy.
