Shulas or Flying Fish!?

How old will you be?

Shula's if you will be over 40, FF if under.

Are you a steak eater or seafood eater? Are you going to have kids with you or not? If your a steak eater and you won't have kids with you, go to Shula's. If your a seafood eater or you will have kids with you go to Flying Fish.

OK, so that post probably wasn't helpful. But without knowing a bit more about you its very hard for us to suggest which would be better, just like its very hard for you to understand why we would prefer one over the other since you don't know us.

Please tell us a bit about yourself and the rest of your party. What are your food likes/dislikes? Budget? Looking for a group of waiters to sing happy birthday?

OhThePain has stated it pretty well--

Both are great spots and on our must do list every trip. You can't go wrong with either one.

Thanks All! I love steak and seafood, hubby loves steak, but our 3 year old will be with us....so Flying Fish it is?? =)

They have an excellent NY strip steak there, and of course a good selection of seafood!!

Flying Fish is one of the few restaraunts that I want to dine at every single trip. I have an AP and try to get at least four trips out of each AP, so am down there at least four times a year (if not more).:rotfl:

If you have a 3 year old with you, I would go with Flying Fish. FF tends to be on the louder side from our experience (much louder than Shula's). With a child that young you might feel really out of place or uncomfy at Shula's. It tends to be real dark and real quiet (sometimes if there is a convention in town the noise level will go up a little bit). Also, they don't advertise having a childrens menu, you would have to ask for one (and I have heard that sometimes it comes with a little bit of attitude).

Agree with this! Both are excellent restaurants, but FF lends itself more to dining w/ small kiddos. In fact, I think they have some kind of special dessert for kids. Happy Birthday to you! :wizard:

I had an amazing 50th birthday dinner at Flying Fish last year. The scallops over risotto was to die for, and DH raved about his potato-wrapped snapper.

Be sure to note the celebration on your reservation. They had a personalized birthday menu for me and a complimentary dessert - complete with candle - as well.

Can't wait to go back this year to celebrate our 20th anniversary!

Have a great birthday! :flower3:

I'd probably go FF, especially since it is unique to Disney. There are Shula's in other big cities, maybe even near where you live.
