It's your last night at WDW. There are 3 adults and no children in your party. Which restaurant would you go to, Shula's or the California Grill? Please explain your choice. Thanks. :)

This is biased. I am the Shula's poster boy.

If you want the beat steak I recommned Shula's hands down. It is by far the best steak on property and the best steak this meat eater has ever had.

It all depends on what you're after--.
If the food itself is primary, and if that food is steak, then Shula's it would be.
However, if a "Disney view" with a bit friendlier "Disney service" is more important, then it would be California Grill.
Been to both recently and both are fine spots. Shula's is more "Club-like" in atmosphere, a bit more expensive. CG has that open kitchen and atmosphere is "California trendy" with lots of noise and activity.
Menu is probably a bit more varied at CG, tho Shula's does offer more than just steak.

What would I do....for me it would be an easy decision...California Grill!

At home we can dine at Chicago Chop House, Mortons, The Palm, Ruth's Chris among others. However we can't enjoy a delicious dinner while gazing at the lights of the Magic Kingdom, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian. A very easy decision for us.

My personal preference is exactly the same as Eeyore's. Shula's any day! Awesome steak.

However, Uncleromulus's post does offer a more objective and informative guide for making your decision...

I would go with the California Grill since they have quite a variety of items on the menu (other than steak) You may also end up with a good view of the MK if you are lucky.

California Grill. It has alot of variety....somewhat innovative....and well prepared food. I like steak, but I don't care about steakhouses all that much.

California Grill definitely just for the view alone. Especially if you time your dinner to the MK fireworks, it is Disney at it's best! CG food is also excellent, their steak not quite as good as Shula's, but CG has some excellent dishes of their own, it is one of Disney's crown jewel restaurants and the atmosphere can't be beat!

We always go to the California Grill on our last night at Disney. My family loves it and it has become a tradition. My kids are college age now and we have been doing this since they were young teens.
