My husband loves a good steak and I was thinking of
Shula's one night. I thought I remembered reading
something about complimentry childcare while you dine
there. Does anyone know anything about this.
We have a 6yr old DD who is good at restraunts but
might rather do something "age friendly".

Also how are the steaks, my DH's favorite is Ruth Chriss.,
will he love Shula's?

Thanks,
Wintermom

The 2 hour complimentary child care at the Dolphin Club while dining at Shula's is great! The club is sort of small but the 2 attendants are wonderful. They color, do crafts, watch videos, and go to the arcade down the hall. My DD5 did not want to leave!:p

We loved Shula's. (Myself, DH 40, and DD12). My DH thought his steak was equal to Ruth's Chris. I loved my filet ... I thought Ruth's Chris was a little more "buttery" flavored...but I like them both!

I think you would be happy to give it a try. IMO, I think your daughter would enjoy the club more than the restaurant. And you can enjoy an adult dinner out with your DD colse by. Have fun!:D

Thanks Kelli,
I think that sounds like the best idea. My DH and I
love good food so she is already going to California
Grill and maybe Jiko's too. One night on our own is
a good idea.

Shula's is wonderful but very dark inside. I don't think a 6 year old would enjoy it very much. I have very special memories of Shula's, I got engaged there last August :)

Sorry but another question about the childcare while
dinnning at Shula's . I called Disney to get priorty seating and
got that with no problem but the guy I spoke with did not
know anything about the complimentry childcare?
Do I need to call someone about that?
Also, do they feed my DD there at Camp Dolphin?

Not sure what to do here.

Thanks,
Wintermom

Call the Dolphin and ask for the Dolphin Club. Tell them you are dining at Shula's and they will take your information. When you take her to the club you will have a small amount of paperwork to fill out. They will also ask her choice of what to eat.

The whole procedure works easily. Allow at least 15-20 minutes to get there and register and then go up to Shula's. The kid's club is on the lower level...down the hall from Tubbi's and near the Health Club and the door exiting out to the pool.:D

Thanks Kelli,

You have been such a help!
We are staying at the Swan so that will work out great.
DH is so excited about his great steak dinner comming up
and we a looking forward to our one adult nite too!

Have fun and enjoy those steaks! :D

Does anyone know if there is a minium age for the childcare? My youngest will be turning 2 just before we go and he will probably still be in diapers.

Thanks.

Wow! You really do learn something new every day here! OK, maybe not every day, but this is new for me :). 2 hours of free childcare with food for the kids while you have a good steak.

Here's information about Camp Dolphin:
http://www.swandolphin.com/play/campdolphin.html

Like other kid's clubs I'll have to wait until my DD is 4 years old before I can send her there. So, Shulas is out for our July trip (she'll be 3 years and 10.5 months, but who's counting) and on for our December trip.

FYI ... I believe you will have to pay for the food if the child eats at Camp Dolphin. I'm not sure about that.
