Shula's and Blue Zoo not included on DDP?

Just wanted to make sure that Shula's and the Blue Zoo weren't included on the Disney Dining Plan. Pretty much figured they weren't but I wanted to make sure from people on the discussion boards that really know alot.

Thanks and what do you think of these 2 restaurants?

I know that they aren't on the DDP. But I can't say how they are. Haven't been. I have heard great things about both though

Not on DDP, not participating in DDE, and no AAA discount. If you want to eat there you better want to pay full price!

I've never been to Shula's, but we visited bluezoo during our trip in March '07 and enjoyed it. The food was quite good, attentive service... the atmosphere is fun, and the restaurant was designed by the same person who designed Jiko and Flying Fish.

The one trouble we had with it was navigating the Dolphin. The valet didn't bother giving us directions even though we said we'd never been there before, and we ended up coming in to the back of the restaurant and having to walk through the dining room to get to the hostess podium. That was annoying, since you just go through the lobby and take the escalators down. Ah well, c'est la vie.

Shulas is excellent, we are eating there again in August.

It's true, neither of these restaurants is on DDP, however, they are both definitely worth paying full freight. Shula's is one of my favorite restaurants at WDW.

1) Not all WDW restaurants are on DDP.
2) In fact, most non-Disney eateries are not on the DDP.
3) This is as it should be.
4) Many eateries do not want to come down to the DDP level as others do
. . . reduce meal size
. . . reduce quality of ingredients
. . . reduce unique menu items
. . . reduce offerings to a "standardized" menu

BlueZoo is fabulous. I'd highly recommend it. Pricey, but worth every penny when you consider the quality of the food compared to some Disney owned higher level restaurants.
