Hi wondering if you could recommend a restaurant that has a great shrimp meal. I love shrimp, generally prepared anyway (just no mushrooms in meal..allergic) and would love to make an ADR someplace and really have a great meal. Thanks for your help.....Pamela

DISers are a big fan of the shrimp at Ohana

Personally, I've found the shrimp at Ohana over cooked and tough.

Spoodles has a wonderful garlic shrimp appitizer. I can't think of anyone with a shrimp main dish. I love shrimp, too, so maybe someone else knows a good one. :)

House of Blues makes a wonderful shimp po' boy...we get one every trip

Le Cellier has a really great Shrimp Pasta (the shrimp were huge!).

although not a table service restaurant, the Mara at AKL has a good fried shrimp dinner (served with fries and coleslaw) that was good and came with 10-12 good sized shrimp.

Thanks everyone. I have done Ohana's before and did enjoy shrimp(hate peeling it though). We have a ressie for Le Cellier so maybe that will be the winner for me. I love shrimp, but want it as my main meal (most places seem to have shrimp cocktail - which I like - but would rather a main dish) Maybe during the F&W festival one of the carts will have shrimp, too!! :thumbsup2

AUSTRAILILA DOES!!!!! Just had to "yell" that out to you. They have a small stand there & the Shrimp on the Barbie is amazing. I usually get about 2 or 3 orders just for myself.

I'm so bummed that we'll be missing the F&W this year. We've gone for about the past 5 years & I look forward to their shrimp more than anything. In fact, I'll skip some of the other stands just for this shrimp! :thumbsup2

Kona has a shrimp & scallop plate. You can sub for all shrimp. They came 6 on the plate & were so large only able to eat three. BTW they were more importantly DElicious!

We just returned yesterday and had two real good shrimp app. The first at Citricos, served hot with feta cheese, tomatos and white wine. It was excellent, especially if you like feta. Second was at Narcoossees. Huge shrimp served cold with a tomato, onion, cilantro sauce. It was excellent too.

I know that a lot of DISers aren't a fan of this place, but my sister and I make sure to visit Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki every trip to the world. It's the table service restaurant in Japan, and it's a typical Hibachi restaurant. We have a shrimp main dish that has always been prepared well for us (2 meals each for 3 different trips over 4 years - we're headed back this December and again next June).

Oh, and Coral Reef (another non-favorite here) has a great shrimp cocktail appetizer - they were huge and delectible, not fishy or scaly.

Enjoy! :)
