Shows worth seeing?

I have not been to any of the current shows (or actually any shows in the last 20 ish years). My family, until recently, has been DH, I and 3 boys...so really not the show loving types...

but this trip is just the girls and my mom loves shows. We only have 3 full days at the parks (T-TH) so I was wondering what shows were worth making sure we see. I know there are probably threads on the individual shows, but was hoping to get a general view/opinions of the as a whole and comparing them.

We are arriving mid day Monday, so I did order picnic dinners to picnic lunches to WOC that night, to basically give us FPs to that (are we won't have to try and figure out where to eat that first night.

Oh, we do have the AAA book that gives us priority seating to Aladdin, Muppets, Bugs Life and animation academy, if that makes any difference.

Aladdin for sure. It's broadway quality (but shorter).

When are you going??? Fantasmic! is great but depending on when you go, it won't be available during the week when you are there. World of Color and Aladdin are both MUST see!

Animation Academy really isn't a show. The two times we went in July weren't crowded at all, maybe 15 people tops, and the Auditorium seats 75 I'm guessing.

No Fantasmic , we leave early Friday. I was a bone head and didn't even think about, but since it is just running Saturdays, I probably wouldn't have extended that long anyway...but I am bummed!

World of Color runs nightly. And Aladdin runs on some weekdays. Also maybe see Soundsational at DL.

I have read from DIS that you can buy the book from WDTC at DTD for $10 each. But some people have reported that WDTC does not sell it. Here are the link to threads that talk about it:

I have booked my vacation through Costco Travel and the package includes priority seating to Aladdin and TTMM. I wonder if it will include the same booklet that is offered by AAA....Cannot wait to receive my package next month. But I will have to pay for my remaining balance first.

Make sure you see World of Color and Aladdin as others said before. The first is a one of his kind show and Aladdin is a must see if your a) a Aladdin fan, b) a musical fan or c) fan of both Aladdin and musicals!

Not a show but a parade : The Pixar Play Parade is one of our favorite. So much color, great music and a lot of fun! Just make sure you watch that water coming out of everywhere!
