Shows that should come back!

Life on Mars, Roseanne, Surreal Life, Road Rules, The original Melrose Place and 90210, Party of Five

Love Party of Five, that would be great!
I also agree w/posters who said Roseanne and That 70's Show
I'll add Ally McBeal and Ed.

Touched by An Angel

Good one.

How about Petticoat Junction, Family Affair, you know, some of the good old, clean shows that promoted good values. Something you weren't embarrassed to watch with your kids. :thumbsup2

I never watch tv any more (except for American Idol).

I forgot to add the original Dragnet. I was too little to see it when it was out, but loved the reruns!! The Don Ho show was a good show too. I wonder what happened with him? I

My mom loved Perry Mason and Kojak so I watched thos quite often too.

I wish Santa Barbara and Another World would come back on daytime.

For evening tv, I would like to see West Wing, Jericho and ER back.

Little House on the Prairie, Eight is Enough, Double Trouble, Facts of Life, Brady Bunch, Gilligan's Island, I Dream of Jeannie.

Homicide - Life on the Street, boy do I miss that one, all time favorite

Roseanne, Cheers, Frazier, Seinfeld (surprised, I don't think I saw that one listed yet), Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Golden Girls (guess it would be hard to bring this one back now, huh?)

All in the Family.

Archie was hilarious but do you think anyone would put that show on the air today? Everyone would be offended.

I will give Jericho it's 7th vote. Thank god for Season I & II in DVD.

I will also give a vote to Firefly. We enjoy Castle on ABC, so atleast I can get a Nathan Fillion fix when I need it.

I have to give another vote for Jericho. I was so hoping another network would pick it up.

I just saw another comment like this on another thread by another poster and I don't get what you're talking about. South Park or Family Guy don't count cause they're cartoons or something? They're easily as transgressive as Norman Lear ever was. And what about all those commentary/infonews shows that are so big down there in the US? They aren't scripted format, but they're real people. Kinda.

My two top picks would definitely be My So-Called Life and Firefly. I still have days where I wonder what the heck would have happened in season two of My So-Called Life, after the way they ended season 1.

And even though I am happy with how it ended, I would love it if Sex and the City was still on. I have all the seasons on DVD and spend far too much time rewatching.

When I read the first post, the ONLY show I could think of was Arrested Development. It's still #1 on my list, but I have to argee with a couple other posters about Boston Legal, too. Both shows are still relevant, and the actors are all living and would be able to play the parts. I mean, I loved My So-Called Life, too -- but those kids are too old for the show now, and wouldn't be able to be so convincingly riddled with insecurity and teen angst like they were back then... and I think most people - including myself - would HATE to see a new My So-Called Life with new actors :P

So yeah, bring back Arrested Development! Or get moving on the movie already!!! :woohoo:

In the US, the media and many others feel they need to be politically correct so they don't offend any group of people. I watch All in the Family in reruns occasionally on TV Land now and think what would happen if someone said that on TV now, mainly thinking about a major network (ABC, CBS, NBC) and not a cable channel. I would even quote you a couple of funny lines from All in the Family here but the comment would more than likely be erased by the disboard mods as inappropriate.
