Shows Canned Too Soon

I really miss SUMMERLAND ,I also really liked cupid from quite a few years ago. Why do they do this to us? Alot of good shows are ending this year, but for alot of them it's time.

They are running reruns of that show on The-N.

Definitely Dark Angel. I wanted to do bad, bad things to Michael Weatherly.

Also, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. I think I was the only woman under 50 who watched that, though...

No you weren't. I was also a woman under 50 who watched this show, and wrote quite a few letters to CBS not to cancel the show.

I'd also add Freaks and Geeks to my short list. Some of the shows others are listing, I've heard of but must confess I've never seen them

Freaks and Geeks. That was one of the best shows that's ever been on television. Why more people didn't realize that is beyond me. I guess they'd rather see pointless reality shows like Flavor of Love

I forgot one....we really liked Carnivale on HBO and it was cancelled too soon I think. I've heard rumors of this being the last season of Deadwood and that would really stink. I love Deadwood and can't wait for the next **** sucking season to start on June 11 (my birthday...what a great birthday!). ;)

A few more that come to mind (and a few others have mentioned)...

X-Files if Mulder had stayed on the show. Robert Patrick is good but the Mulder character was the heart of the show.

Twin Peaks if they could have found back the fun quirkiness that made the first season so interesting.

American Gothic

Mystery Science Theater for my son

I really liked the show Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman
My dd watched the show Dead like Me
and Planogirl my ds also loves Mystery Science theater (I bought him the dvd collection)

Another vote for The West Wing and Sports Night. I also liked I'll Fly Away.

Ok, no one has mentioned Judging Amy. I really liked that show and they just didn't renew it for the next year, leaving the story lines hanging :sad2: Maybe I'm the only one who was watching and they didn't ask me :teeth:

LOVED In Justice and had hopes that maybe it was coming back later??

Lastly, ER...................oh, wait.............that one is going for another season of basically the same story lines. They should have quit while they were ahead

I was getting scared for a minute reading this thread -- I couldn't believe that everyone was skipping right over Carnivale! That was definitely the best show I have ever seen and HBO seriously dropped the ball when they cancelled that one. Of course it was right as they were *really* starting to get to the good stuff. All because it was "too expensive" and HBO feeling that the show had 'run it's course' and told it's story'. However, they didn't mind opening their wallets for that big stinker 'Rome' - and are even doing so for a 2nd season! Blech! I also heard that Deadwood may not be back for a 4th season, which will be a HUGE disappoint if it turns out to be true. :sad2:

What is the N? :confused3

The N or NOGGIN is a channel that airs childrens programing in the morning/early afternoon and teen programming in the later part of the day/evening. It airs a bunch or reruns as well as some of their own programs. Shows airing include Degrassi the next generation, Fresh Prince, Moesha, Instant Star, Summerland.... We have Directv and it's one of the premium type channels. It's been around for a few years now.

Thanks though.

I havent read the whole thread so I dont know if this was mentioned or not, but it was about a Canadain Mountie in the US.It was funny

hey does anybody remember Benny Hill. That was always fun to watch. I also would love to see reruns of Here Comes the Brides. It just ended without a good ending. Lots of good memories on this thread!

Oh yeah...loved Homefront too. Still get a little wistful when I see some of the actors on other shows and this was how long ago ??

I forgot about this one. Much like American Dreams - it left too soon

I saw someone else mention this show. . . Northern Exposure!

Without a doubt my all-time favorite show, and not *even* enough episodes. I like to watch my DVD of Northern Exposure while on the treadmill! :D
