E will be staying at All Star Movies. Does housekeeping have a shower chair available that they can bring to my room?I really don't need to book an accessible room, but a shower chair would make it much easier for my daughter.

I kept putting it off for years. Finally I booked last November a room with a roll in shower which has a seat built in.

I need the walk in shower because the tub was high and I had a hard time climbing in. And I was afraid of slipping in the tub.

Also in the regular room the beds were very high also. In the handicap room the bed is lower.

We all take showers so we didn't miss the tub. And the bed situation wasn't a problem either.

I book another handicap room this year also.

Also I rent a scooter and I can come and go without any assistance with the outside door. When you are in the room you push a button on the wall and door opens and stays open a bit. Same on the outside you swipe the band the door opens and remains open. So if you have scooter , walker , cane or wheelchair you can be independent.

There's another thread about this, recently, as well.

You can request a chair from the resort, but it might not be top quality. I've read reports of equipment with loose screws/bolts and very rocky.

You might want to consider renting from Care Medical. I believe the contact info is in the disABILITIES FAQ sticky near the top of this forum.

Enjoy your vacation!
