Hi all! I’m wanting to book a massage for two at the Grand Floridian Spa on a day we are also going to Magic Kingdom. We are visiting in August so I was wanting to shower before the massage. The problem is that we are staying at Riviera. Does anyone know if there are showers at the spa? Or would the best scenario involve just going back to Riviera and then back to Grand? Thanks!

They actually encourage you to get there early so you can relax and enjoy the amenities. I know in the womens lounge, that included a rain shower room with a hot tub and heated loungers, a steam room and very nice showers.

Yes, it is a full-service spa with all of the usual amenities. It sounds like you have a great plan! Just get there in plenty of time to really wind down first & be ready for your massage (as @TammiMcMan suggested).

I have been so looking forward to this reopening! It’s such a wonderful place. Enjoy!! 😍

Great! Thanks so much for your responses. I'm happy to know that we can head straight there. And I appreciate the tip on early arrival. I hope each of you enjoys your weekend!

Yes, there are showers at the spa.
I'm another person interested in the Spa at Grand Floridian. I have booked a stay in Oct 2022 for 2 at Port Orleans and thinking about booking treatments at Grand Flo spa. Do you happen to know if the spa is or will be still requiring spa guests to wear masks in the Spa and do you happen to know if the steam room will be in operation. One guest said it was not right after it reopened when she went. I researched on line but could not find the answers to these questions.

The best thing to do is get there an hour or two early so you can sit in the Sauna and steam room first and the relaxation rooms. People who are new to spa going sometimes do not know that the spa and all its amenities are for your use the entire day of your booked treatments. To really get your money worth you should plan a few hours in the spa to experience every thing it offers. Steaming and drinking lots of their zen type waters they offer complimentary with your booking and then showering before your massage in the provided showers is the best you can do for yourself because that hydrates your body the best it can be which aids in your massage and skin treatments. Then if you want you can shower again after but I usually don't because I don't want to wash out the oils and creams from my skin after that. My skin never feels oily after. Just very smoothing and hydrated. Wonderful feeling. Be sure to ask the attendant for shampoos and conditioners and body washes for your shower. Pre pandemic times these things were all kept out in shower rooms to grab as you go but now though they are still complimentary with your booking you have to ask for them.

I was there in late February, no mask requirement and everything was working in the women’s lounge, but at the time, the men’s lounge hot tub and steam room were not operational.
