You are so good at speaking French! It sounds like you never left Quebec ;]
I have a horrible anglophone accent.
Did you take French Immersion in younger grades?

Only for two years?
I've been in FI for 10 years now and my French is mediocre (although there's a kid in my French class who says 'Nous besoins').

One good thing about living in MO/TN, no need to speak French. XD I took French I last year, I still don't really get it....

French is a confusing language...
There's always an exception.
And an exception to that exception...
Most of them having to do with verbs and genders and numbers.

YES! I can say, Le livre est dans la chambre a coucher. I think that means, The book is in the living room, but I'm not sure.

I believe, that actually means your bedroom.

But if you only take one year of French and it's not intensive, you learn some of the basic sentences a 1st grader does... (Don't take offense to that, I mean, I can't most of my prime ministers, but an American 1st grader can name all of their Presidents..)
Well the first thing I learned in French was how to ask to go to to the bathroom at school.

Caitlin you're french is great, and makes me ALREADY regret taking spanish next year. :sad2:

I don't care if I can't use French right at current time. I still have another full year of it. XD

french in highschool is basically like first grade french for french people. lol. you have to be hardcore into it if you really wanna learn anything.

I have three more years =)
I want to graduate with it, and as I have no plans to take sciences, I will get all my French courses in grade 12.
I had a hard time fitting in my French this year. I needed 50% of my courses to be in French but I didn't want to end up in like French gym...

Caitlin you just amazed me with French. hahahhaa.
And your English video was so cute :)

I just took it because I didn't like the Spanish teacher. I do look up some things in French so I can say things that most people don't understand.

in ontario you start learning french in grade 4.
i moved to ontario in grade 3, and in grade 4 i started learning things that i'd learned in kindergarden in quebec!
and then when i got to high school it was like grade 4 all over again!! lol
thank goodness i went to immersion in grade 7&8 or i might not be where i am today!

Mm.
NB has French Immersion (though they're trying to get rid of it) which starts in grade 1 (you can do it in grades 6, 7 and 8 instead). But the problem is, once you get to HS in NB you have both these immersions in the same French class and it feels like the teacher is reteaching you everything (we did Passé Composé this year, I learned that in grade 4).
It feels like Core French, which is really the problem. I don't know why, but Core French kids don't seem to get good grades in anything... And well, they don't learn french because they're just taught the culture not verbs...

one of my podcasts will be in spanish definatly
