Show Me Your Current Desktop

I can't find a print screen button so here is todays desktop. A photo by my brother in California.

This is my favorite "New" trick that I've learned lately about the computer.

Up the top of the keyboard where all the F buttons are, to the right of F12 are three keys. One has Print Scrn then a line and then SysRq under that. I press the shift key and then that key. What ever is appearing on your screen will be copied. Then I open the Paint program which you can find in your programs under accessories. Click on edit and hit paste and it should be what comes up on the screen. Here's one I just did while I was typing this.

You'll have to save it as a jpeg, put it in a file (my silly stuff goes into photomisc) and then download it onto a photo site like photobucket.

See if that works. :)

thejollyfinn: neat pic! where is that from?

bevtoy: I didnt post mine from the actual screen... because i dont want all my different icons showing... i just linked my pics in from site i have them on
(and i also dont know how to do the other way anyways!!:rotfl: )

My DW and I did a 10 day London-Paris-Rome Anniversary trip last May.
This is a shot looking down from the top of the "rolling staircase" in the Vatican.
They're not steps as much as a ramp. Very cool architecture!

To bevtoy:
I use a Mac computer, so I simply SHIFT-COMMAND-F4 to bring up my snap shot reticule and marquee the area across my desktop that I want to capture.
Most on the boards are using a Windows based PC and I see wkrider (thanks!) has explained it already.

Here's my current desktop at work, though I rotate out pretty frequently.

It looks like some people are like me with the desktop photos...I run my icons across the top of my screen so I choose pics that are not real "busy" near the top. I don't like getting my icons lost in the photo....probably wierd but that is me..:3dglasses

Not so weird......... I keep mine on the left hand side so I can see my pictures better. Its like having a picture on the wall and you get to change it every day for free. Now if I could only find a good Mona Lisa...........:)

I have had the Master Chief as my desktop for a while now. I like that it is in black and white so I can find things easily on the desktop. I also have another shot of him as an avitar on several sites I frequent.
