Show Me: Your 2008 Holiday Photos

For everyone looking to taking these types of images using available light, you don't need to buy a lens capable of wide apertures, like f/1.4. Just use a slower shutter speed to let in more light.

Not much light inside but did get some cool bokeh, I think anyway. Broke out the fancy plastic ornaments. My mom bought them years ago when dd was little to keep from getting broken ones. It was pretty dark in the apartment despite the daylight from open door. I will have to play with Shutter priority on them but I did use my 50mm f/1.8 on mine.

I have a better one I took after I realized I was casting a shadow but I'm too lazy to upload it.

Given to me in an ornament exchange. I grabbed that box to set them in because they were so tiny. I like how they reflected in the counter top.

Heading to WDW in a few hours so I plan on having a lot more!!

I'm not thrilled with this one because of the use of flash, any suggestions? I'm having trouble photographing the tree at night especially if I put the dog in front.

We just got back from a very different WDW trip. This one was mostly to introduce our favorite 3 year old princess to the wonders of WDW. I won't bore you with photos of her in a princess gown, or meeting Tinkerbell, or riding Dumbo, or ...
