I LOVE cupcakes! But, I'm a cupcake snob. I'm very particular. The cake part has to be moist & the icing/filling can't be too sweet. It needs to be like a dessert, not a piece of birthday cake. Any suggestions for my upcoming trip to WDW.
I got a red velvet cupcake at Beach Club Marketplace, which is the gift shop inside the Beach Club hotel. It came in a plastic container with a cover, so you could take it with you. It was in the self-serve cooler.
I tried to eat an entire PB cupcake from Staring Rolls, boy was I foolish. I can pack down some desert but that one defeated me! Loved every bite though!
Oh my, that oreo cupcake looks devine! I'm staying at BWI in October - hope to try one . I loved the comment about the frosting in the food blog, "it's the lard-y stuff we love" this is so me.
I can't wait to try some of these cupcakes. I had a great one at Main St. Bakery around Halloween. It was made to look like aghost and it had buttercream frosting, which I love. I don't like the looks of the frosting that looks as though it is whipped. Does anyone know what it tastes like. The ones from the carmel shop in Germany have that frosting. I love whipped cream on ice cream but not on a cake. I know I am picky.

Honestly, I can't think of any Disney cupcake that fits the bill. I also prefer my cupcakes petite and dessert-like (for reference, I prefer Georgetown Cupcake over Crumbs). Disney is more like Crumbs. The cupcakes are huge and the cake to me tastes like standard yellow (or chocolate) cake from a box, and they're covered with a ton of frosting that to me seems lard-like. They're obscenely large and can barely be called cupcakes.
Thank you We will be sure to stop by there iin September. Yes, I heard those caramel squares are awesome - I guess we will be needing to try out one (or three) of those too
I'm really excited to try the Orea Bon-Bon one now. I like my icing to be fluffy with a whipped texture and thats what it sounds like. Can you only get it at the Boardwalk bakery or other places too?

We made a special trip on the Monorail from the Poly to snag a couple of these beauties last November. Lots of cherry filling, icing was just right (the cake domes high, so it's not just a big mountain of frosting). Messy but yummy.
We got a new cupcake to talk about at the BW Bakery, but I haven't any photos and not sure if I can post a link to where I found out about it.
Its a Strawberry Shortcake Cupcake and it looks and sounds like heaven The strawberries themselves are apparently drizzled with a dash ofi Grand Marnier too.
We got them at Marceline's Bakery in Disneyland last year and they were delicious! Six xmall cupcakes, each a different flavor. A very nice treat to share over a few days!
