I actually live in Orlando - and yes we did have rain on Tuesday!!! I think that was the morning we woke up with rain inthe morning, which is a bit unusual! Not good for the tourists - but it as a nice change for me!!!

It's been GORGEOUSLY clear (and hot) for the past several days thought! Supposedly some rain moving in tonight- but not even afternoon sea breeze storms today - DD and I were in the pool for an hour this evening!

One of my favorite days at a WDW park was Fri 9/14/01 (3 days after 9/11 guilty ) during Tropical Storm Gabrielle. The fact that I could find ANY happiness during that vacation after 9/11 amazes me. It was WDW magic for sure.

My fond memeries......splashing in HUGE puddles, empty park, walk on & stay on rides until YOU wanted to get off, & everyone just trying to make the best of it. A true closeness with anyone you came into contact with. And the BEST CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP I've ever had (from Cosmic Ray's). But I'm sure it was really just because of the weather & the week's events. So good we had 2 bowls.

Next 4 from 9/14 (MK) during Tropical Storm. Note the time on clock (just before evening parade) & look at all the empty spots on Main St USA curbs. It was drizzly & low clouds by the time the fireworks went off...and you could only see the base....not the burst of the firework. Felt bad for family next to us. There first visit to WDW & their first fireworks.

The camera thing is tough, though. I thought once about trying to jury-rig a system that'd screw into the tripod mount on the bottom of a camera that would attach to a small umbrella over the camera itself, but never got around to it. There are quite a few setups that you can find in camera stores for water protection, I might need to do a little research one of these days...
