How do you define "home park"? I'm closer to Disneyland. It's a lot easier to get to and get around than DW. I feel comfortable going solo at Disneyland.

I also have childhood memories of Disneyland. Went there on my honeymoon.

On the other hand, I'm from the east coast and my DD, son-in-law, and favorite cousin live in the DC area. I have been from NoVA to DW many times w/my parents and my DD and I plan to do that again when I'm out there for Xmas this year

Even though DW is over the top and absolutely fabulous and the resorts as so nice, the heat and humidity is unbearable I love the weather in SoCal!!!! So, I would say if I had to pick one I'd go w/Disneyland I could live in Carsland!

Yes, home park would be the one you started with I guess... or in my case my ONLY park! I have been to Florida and the Keys, and on cruises, but never to WDW, it's intimidating! lol! I would like to stay at the Polynesian resort someday, its been on my bucket list a long time!
I do not like the Florida weather either, and living in Northern Nevada where we have ZERO humidity, the Florida humidity kills us!!
I grew up going to So/Cal every summer my whole childhood, and a couple times a year, if possible ever since. I love So/Cal and Disneyland!
