This just made what was turning into a crappy afternoon GREAT!!!

Just noticed it is a LONG show too, pardon me while I go do the happy dance!!!

Man I totally disagree on some of their TS suggestions or non suggestions.
A few of their Don't go to's are totally against my past experiences.

ie. Boatwrights, we love this place they have one of the best prime ribs on property. Plus their thanksgiving dinner is just mouth watering!

Raglan Road loser???? I'm sorry everytime we ate there we had to be rolled out because we couldn't stop eating.

I'm starting to wonder if they actually ate at some of these places..

I have eaten in all of the places mentioned in the podcast. I've been upfront about places I have never been.

You are welcome to disagree with any and all of our opinions, as that is exactly what they are....opinions, but please dont question our integrity.

Thanks,
Kevin

Don't get me wrong Kevin,
I'm not questioning your intergrity, I love you guys, most of the time you are spot on.
It's just hard to believe we are getting two totally different experiences.

no where in what I said that you have no idea what you are talking about, I was just stating that the experiences I've encountered did not match your critique at all.

My only problem is with this particular line.

When we dined at Boatwright's, they were disorganized, the food was bad, the service was sub-par. The experience was bad, road-side diner.

Raglan Road is hit or miss. We have excellent service and we have had non-existent service. We have had decent food and food I wouldn't serve to enemies. Until they become more consistent.....I wouldnt recommend them.

I'd never review a place I hadnt experienced.

All of my reviews are based on one particular visit. They are my opinions of that particular visit.

I always recommend that listeners try a place and form their own opinion.

You may agree....you may disagree. It's all good. We're allowed to have different opinions. My issue is with questioning whether I have actually dined in the places mentioned.

I can promise you that you never have to worry about hearing a review of a place at which I havent dined.

Listening to the podcast now!
I am finding it very informative, I have never used the dining plan before and listening to people in the food courts/counter service line ups it sounded very confusing to me. The podcast team has done a great job in making it understandable!

I haven't finished listening yet...

Consistency is no longer a hallmark of Disney. I have also had differing experiences at several of the places Kevin did not like.

I've had three meals at Raglan Road (which is not O&O by Disney). One was GREAT, one was good, and one was "meh" - the latter was specifically a lunch where the other two were dinners. I think it can depend on what you order in general. Our first dinner, DW got the fish and chips - and the fish was relatively flavorless which was completely unexpected. The f&c at Rose & Crown was better. But my "heavenly ham" was aptly named.

I really enjoyed the dining plan discussion. :)

If I may add....Some guests choose to make their ADRs first before choosing whether to add the dining plan to their vacation. Let's face it, getting an ADR to specific restaurants, for a specific meal (lunch or dinner) can be tough. Making sure you can maximize the dining plan first before adding it can be helpful.

Actually going off that point on consistency at disney restaurants - we just came back from our trip and we had booked 5 meals at Kona Cafe not only because we were staying at that hotel but because we love love love the Kona Cafe so much - or at least we use to. On our 3rd meal at the Kona Cafe we realized that things were not as they use to be. In all honesty we were disappointed because we remembered the food and experience being different there. I've actually heard other people commenting on this as well. It seems like in some places the food quality has gone down.

I have to agree with that. There have been places I've gone to and came out wondering what the hype was. Funny thing is RR has been one that has been consistant for us "thus far".

And Kevin, after re-reading my post I could see why you might have issue with on that comment. Bad thing about the written word, it can be deciphered in many ways, I assure you it was meant as a light hearted jest.

As was suggested in chat last week a discussion thread has been open for this weeks shows... Add spoilers there :goodvibes :goodvibes
