Recently sailed Magic Feb 2016. Sailing again late Jan 2017. This will be only 2nd time on DSL. Can I expect the main shows to change, i.e. no Tangled, Dreams, or Twice Charmed?

I'm figuring you're asking about the Magic?

No, you cannot expect the main production shows to change. The shows need to run about 5-7 years to recoup the expenses involved with mounting them. Shows change rarely.

We've seen Dreams on every Magic & Wonder cruise we've done since 2008. And saw Twice Charmed in 2010 on the Magic.

Tangled is new to the Magic (this past year), so probably will be onboard for a number of years to come.

We were just on the Magic on April 3. When we did a ship tour, we were told that the twice charmed show, we would be seeing later that week, would be the last time that version would be performed.

Hmm wondering about Aladdin on the Fantasy - saw it in 2013....going in Feb. 2017...

"This version"? As in they're getting a new cast? Or just a little reworking of staging/dance moves? There's been no leak of another new show on the Magic. She just got Tangled last year. I'm taking a guess here, but I'd think they would look into changing one of the other shows on a different ship. I know Toy Story is being replaced by Frozen next. So that only leaves the Dream & Fantasy.

Just as a guess, I don't think Aladdin will be going soon. I think it's the best of the 3 shows on the Fantasy.

Sometimes the shows not changing is a good thing. The first Disney cruise we took it seemed that the whole evening was dinner, then waiting for the show, then the show. It took up like 3 or 4 hours. When you have seen the shows, you can use the extra time to explore other things, especially when the bulk of the crowd is either at the show or eating dinner at second seating.

This makes a comment on another thread make more sense. That poster stated they did not see it on their April 10th cruise on the Magic. Did they say on your tour, what would be replacing it?

She told us that it would be reworked over the next 4 weeks. I won't swear to this but I think she said there would be a new cast. It will still be the same show, just some changes. It did sound like the show would just not be performed after ours for 4 weeks but I'm assuming they would just fill in with a variety act those 4 weeks. The cruise that was after mine should be back now so they would know.

Dreams wont ever leave the Magic in my opinion as its the signature show that each ship has. It had a big work over last year I believe it was so unlikely to go anywhere will just have reworks every now and then. Twice Charmed was on since 2007 so may get changed at some point but I think its so popular they may keep it. Tangled started last year (replacing Villians Tonight which itself replaced Golden Mickeys all since 2007) so I think you are likely to see the same ones on the Magic for at least the next 2/3 years just they will tweak shows - like Disney Dreams had a frozen section added for example and the Lion King section adjusted last year.

Same here best show ever!

It's the only show Disney has had that we have made a point to not only see on every cruise, but also see all the extra shows during that cruise (like a matinee or even both evening shows and skip dinner). We met some of the cast members at a meet and greet one cruise after the show and they were so nice and funny and genuine. Terrific talent!

Oh man, I loved Hercules. I wish they would bring that back. We were also on the Magic at the end of March and were told that Twice Charmed was changing. No idea in what way though.

That show will be around at least through February 2017, probably through to its drydock later that spring. I have no knowledge of it changing, but I can say that I know it'll be around through early next year.
