Should you use a Bento box to store food in a mini-refrigerator

I guess it depends on what you think you may have as "leftovers" and if you would in fact eat that food later. A Bento Box is typically about the size of a lunch box, with 2-4 smallish sections for various items (a few crackers, a few apple slices, a sandwich may fit in the larger spot, etc.). I always find it difficult to pack even my daughter's lunch into a bento-box-type container. I prefer to keep different foods in their own contain in the fridge, not a single divided container.

If you think you will actually eat the leftovers back at your room, or take into the parks, I would probably bring a few different-sized containers like you use at home for leftovers (Tupperware, Rubbermaid, etc.). Maybe buy some of the cheap versions like Glad or Ziploc. Plus some zip-top baggies for items that don't need to be refrigerated.

I took a bento to Disney similar to the one in the link below and used it for restaurant leftovers. It was nice because I could toss it in the bottom of the stroller and not worry about it leaking the way to-go boxes would. The compartments held a good amount of food and it was usually sufficiently large enough to hold all of our leftovers. As a family of three at the time, we could use one compartment for each member of our family, carrying everyone’s leftovers in one bento. This bento can’t be used in the microwave but some can.
