Should we try to change reservations?

We have a 7 pm reservation for tutto italia for dinner when we are in Epcot, we made the reservation for 7 then planned to see illuminations.

We'll be a little pressed for time to see illuminations so I'm wondering 2 things.

1. we are Italian and live in NJ and eat great Italian all of the time, would we be better off trying something we can't get at home?

2. Is there somewhere we can eat dinner and get a spot nearby for Illuminations?

We'll have a 2 year old who is not picky and used to sitting for a meal at a restaurant. We are on the dining plan.

I think you will be OK on time assuming you are seated at 7. If you are used to Northern Italian in NJ then maybe it is a good time to try something different as you might be somewhat disappointed. I would suggest Rose and Crown as they have a special Patio for Illuminations although ressies can be hard to get. France might also be a welcome change from Italian although you would have to leave the restaurant and find a spot. Mexico also has a nice restaurant in the pyramid or you could go to Japan for Sushi. There are a lot of options. Rose and Crown is really the only one where you get a great view of Illuminations and can stay in the actual restaurant.

thanks I was thinking of Rose and Crown as an option. I wonder if I'll have a chance at a reservation for just three weeks away.:scratchin
