Should we switch to Vero Beach at Easter?

The 7 month mark is coming up for our Spring Break which is the week prior to Easter. I have a 2 bedroom Boardwalk view reservation  for 5 nights Sun - Friday (Lots of points  )

I don't think we can do both Vero and WDW because of we may only be there 5 or 6 nights and for that amount of time we are not interested in switching mid-vacation. Also, because the other teen is not related we would want at least a 1 bedroom and the number of points on the weekends is not worth it to us.

We've been tossing around the thought of going to Vero Beach instead (if we can get reservations. We were at WDW the week before Easter a couple of years ago and it was very crowded. We enjoyed it but there was a line for everything. However, I could sit on the balcony all week long with a Boardwalk view ;)

It will be myself, DH and two 17 year old teens. We would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions. Would the teens survive in the quiet of Vero? Would we survive Vero with the teens and no WDW :confused3

17 year olds can go to ESPN zone, walk around epcot, do DD...

At Vero, unless they find pretty girls they will probably be bored....

JMHO, Goldi

They are girls so it's fun to watch the boys watch them! They also like to hang at the pool and would love the ocean.

We have been to WDW the last 4 years so I was thinking Vero might be fun. We may also try and come up with another destination in Florida other than WDW. But WDW is so easy as we know it so well and have the routine down.

Our teen boys (and I) were bored at Vero...it was nice enough but not really all that much that appealed to them. Did not feel all that different to us than NC or SC beaches we go to all the time... We were there at Easter and the pool was VERY crowded. I understand the beach has been refurbished now so that's great. When we were there, the beach was almost non-existent, esp. at high tide. I think most people LOVE Vero so i am sure you'll hear some great reasons to consider it. By the way, we did two nights there after three nights at BWV! Very different experiences but, all in all, a very nice trip...just not my cup of tea.

Note that we tried a couple years back to reserve a 2BR during Easter at Vero at 7 months out for a relative. There was nothing available except a weekend night and one day during the week. In other words, You might have trouble getting anything.

You should call first and see if you can get in. If not, you're question is answered. If so... well then I would say it depends on whether the crew loves the beach. If you do, then GO TO VERO. WDW around easter has got to be about as crazy as possible. Good Luck :sunny:
